As I'm sure you got from the summary and other people's reviews, this is a clamp on drink / snack holder that can mount to most things that you would want to mount to. I haven't taken a measurement, but it looks like it's got about a 3-4" clamp range. The clamp holds on via two 1"-diameter rubber pads, and you can clamp down with a pretty good amount of force. It has two holders: one has some rubber wings that help stabilize cups (note: does not fit fat cups or cups with wide handles very well) and the other is more of just a bowl that is designed to hold the included snack bowl. The snack bowl is okay, but the non-spill lid is a little stiff and may not be well received by all kids.My biggest gripe is this: so much of what people would be interested in clamping to is not very conducive to having an good grip. Many kids-centric products use a lot of plastic and upholstery neither is good if you want to clamp something to it with the intention of it not moving. I have a Britax Boulevard and Roundabout and was able to get it secure on both of those by lifting up the upholstery and clamping directly to the plastic frame; but even then, it slips when my 36mo-old son gets too excited with his sippy cup. So I'm constantly repositioning it. At the end of the day, it's works for me most of the time, and it's certainly better than nothing.
Pros: provides a cup / snack holder to otherwise poorly equipped car seats and whatever else you can clamp it to.
Cons: The clamp, while strong, is not going to provide an immovable, secure mount to whatever you affix it to also, the snack cup could have afforded to be better designed.
My Recommendation? If you're in the market for something to hold drinks wherever you so desire, buy this; because many alternatives are much much worse.

I have owned 2 of these cup holders and use them on my daughter's car seat (Recaro ProSPORT). The first one was always getting loose and falling off and one day I realized that part of the plastic clamp was cracked. I figured that was the reason it was always loosening up so I purchased a second one and I am still having the same problem (but it is not cracked). The unit needs to be tightened everytime we use it. My daughter is gentle with it and she knows not to lean on it and to remove her drink carefully, but, that doesn't seem to matter: it always manages to wiggle itself loose. I have a Britax Boulevard carseat, which does not have a cup holder. This was my second Snack Pod. The first one broke after having to retighten it many times. No better luck with the second one. There was just no good place to attach it to our carseat, and it wouldn't stay put with the weight of a cup and snack. We eventually threw it out after constantly readjustments. It might work for other carseats, but the sides of our seat must be too wide and the fabric too slippery.
