I really wanted this booster seat to work for us. I purchased it to replace our Britax Parkway SGL because the belt kept getting stuck in the belt guides. The Clek Oobr is solid and very well made. Compared to the Oobr, the other booster seats look and feel flimsy. The headrest slides up and down like the headrest of a car. The headwings provide a nice place for children to lean their heads and I don't feel as worried about my daughter falling asleep in this seat because of the recline feature. However, my daughter says she is uncomfortable in this seat and feels like she is about to slide out. The seat does not provide as much room front to back as other boosters and I think this does not provide enough support for her legs. This was only after one ride so we are going to have to return the seat. Although I'm beyond pleased with the construction, the fit is awkward and uncomfortable.

We own two Clek Oobr seats (Snowberry & Drift). My 6 yr old is on the small side and loves this seat. She calls it her "Captian's Chair"! We like that it locks into our cars and is very sturdily built without being impossible to lift. We also like that when she falls asleep she has something to rest her head against instead of flopping over.

Honest reviews on Clek Oobr Car Seat

Oobr is a great booster seat. It's very compact which is great because we have a small car mazda 3s. The best feature that sold me on it was that the booster clicks into the built-in seat latch system. I think, a lot of parents make the mistake of thinking that the safety of a car seat is limited to the 5 point harness system aka straps which hold the kid in place and the build quality of the seat and other features. But we tend to forget that as a kid grows older, more important is how the seat + kid is secured to the car the kids are stronger than babies not to mention safe driving habits! A lot should be said about a car seat's ability of be properly secured to the CAR. Aha this is where the oobr excels it has a rigid anchor that secures the seat frame to the car frame. Once done the seat belt helps secure our daughter to the seat. The seat is well designed to help guide the belt in the proper place. The clever arrangement of colored red plastic elements below the seat arms help anchoring the belt and acts a reminder for our kid. As a designer, I appreciate how important a role design plays in a product whether a car or a car seat. All the small details matter God is in the details a famous architect once said!

The seat has a recline function as well which is handy on occasions. Once our son moves into an oobr in a year or so we can fit a slim adult in the middle which is worth the price of both seats! Imagine that in a compact hatchback!!!

I could go on and on about this seat All i can say, is that if you are looking for a car seat that is of great quality, provides a safe, secure comfort, awesome to look at and compact look no further. Once your kid is older the hard back comes apart and it goes from a fullback booster to a latching booster.

This is a great booster for ages 6 and up. I just bought one for my 6-year-old, and while I was a little reluctant to stop harnessing, I feel the rigid latch will be great in a side-impact collision. The deep sides are also reassuring.

For a child younger than 6, I'd be hesitant to trust him/her to sit properly in a booster, but with today's seats it's easy to get most kids to age 6 in a harness.

We plan to use this booster until my child is 11 or so, whenever the child is at LEAST 4'9" AND fits the adult seatbelt in our vehicle.
