As other reviewers have mentioned this is a no frills, basic but SAFE car seat. Installation was a little difficult (this could be a result of two sleep deprived parents trying to read a car seat instillation instructions booklet accurately) and took about 30 minutes with both my husband and myself. One feature I really like about this seat is the 5 shoulder belt slots, great for a tall baby like ours. As other reviews have also mentioned, there isn't a lot of padding in this seat. My daughter doesn't seem to mind this and actually I think it will be a benefit when the seat needs to be wiped down from various baby "goo" that will surely make its way into the seat.
As with all car seats there are a few annoyances I have with this seat; the main issue, and the reason I gave the seat 4 stars instead of 5, is you do have to work with the belts to get them to tighten properly. I pull up the slack on the belts before tightening them and this seems to help make the belts fit tightly.
Another nice surprise was this seat fit quite well in the back of my compact car in the rear facing position.
Overall I would recommend this seat, especially at this such a great price (I picked up a second seat at a local big box store for $39). Ultimately my decision was based on safety and budget and the Cosco Scerena won on both counts.

I recently purchased this car seat for my daughter who has outgrown the seat that came with her travel system. Because we will have to buy a car seat for both of our cars, we went with this one mostly due to the great price (purchased at a local store for $39). The color is very cute true to the picture. The cup holder is detachable (we actually haven't put hers on yet). This is a basic car seat without a lot of bells and whistles, but it is cute, very secure, and must be comfy as well...my little daughter sleeps like a dream on long car rides. I am glad we made this purchase!Best Deals for Cosco Scenera Convertible Car Seat 5 Point Clementine
As others have noted, this shouldn't even be advertised as a rear facing car seat. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to install this as a rear facing unit without having a very large and unacceptable level of wiggle room. I am amazed they are legally even allowed to sell this as a rear facing unit.It should also be noted that to install this as a rear facing unit, they ask you to use folded up towels to elevate the seat to the right height, but the towels will settle, compress, and move around over time. So the seat again becomes dangerously loose over the time as the towel changes position. Last time I am buying a Cosco product.
