I feel compelled to review this car seat because right now the only review is extremely negative. We have used our Cosco Scenera (ours is gray/black) for almost 2 years now, rear facing the whole time, in our Honda Civic. We use cut lengths of pool noodles and rolled up towels to get a good angle, and it must be in the middle seat because our back seat is pretty small so the top of the car seat has to go between the two front seats. However, if installed correctly with a tight seat belt or with the latch system tightened (we've used both), it fits securely and does not wiggle around. We've had it inspected by the local public safety department (they were impressed we had it installed correctly, as most car seats are not). It may not work for all cars, but it worked for us and we have been very pleased. We have installed it forward facing twice (when we flew to Washington and didn't have the pool noodles with us for the rear-facing set up) and it fit well in a Subaru Outback but only fit in the middle seat of a Nissan Altima because of the built-in head rests of the back seats by the windows.

Is this car seat fancy? No. Is it convenient like an infant carrier? No. But it IS safe when installed correctly, and it has worked well for us.

i just bought this same car seat for the second time my daughter witch is now 4 had one witch i kept and i am now using for my 6 month old and i just bought another one for in the truck because i dont like switching back and forth depending on where we are going i love this car seat

As others have noted, this shouldn't even be advertised as a rear facing car seat. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to install this as a rear facing unit without having a very large and unacceptable level of wiggle room. I am amazed they are legally even allowed to sell this as a rear facing unit.

It should also be noted that to install this as a rear facing unit, they ask you to use folded up towels to elevate the seat to the right height, but the towels will settle, compress, and move around over time. So the seat again becomes dangerously loose over the time as the towel changes position. Last time I am buying a Cosco product.
