We have an Evenflo Symphony and love that seat, especially the Sure Latch!! So when it came time to move my younger daughter in the Symphony seat I started researching boosters for my older daughter. I was thrilled to find the Securekid with Sure Latch (which I have been so spoiled by with our Symphony). The seat is a perfect fit as she is small for her age and I want to keep her in a 5 point harness as long as possible. She loves the cup holders and I love the narrow size and of course the SURE LATCH!! I would highly recommend this seat.
For anyone who hasn't used Sure Latch, these hook into the latch connectors on your car but unlike traditional latch connectors these AUTO TIGHTEN!!! Just click in, push down on the seat and go. Makes moving this seat SO quick. And the latches with the Securekid are even better than my Symphony latches!!

The evenflo Securekid 400 is a great option for long term harnessing. It has the height and weight capacity to keep a child in a 5pt Harnes system until they are large enough and mature enough to properly booster. It is also a nice narrow seat, making it great for puzzling in the backseat with other carseats. It is also well padded for a budget seat.The only reason I was unhappy with the evenflo Securekid 400 is that it was very narrow around my daughters neck and the harness dug into her. While in cool weather I can use her clothing as a barrier, in the heat of the summer, when tanks are a common shirt for her, there will be no protection for her neck. Had this seat come with shoulder pads it would have been perfect. Since it did not come with any shoulder pads to protect her neck (and after products are not safe/tested and void warranties on carseats to use!) I returned it and bought a Graco Nautilus instead.

We are leaving next week to fly for medical appointments for my husband. I researched a lot of the seats and bought a less expensive seat. We used it a few days and the chest clip would not stay up. It was really lightweight which was great but so many children are put in car seats with a chest clip around their waist which is unsafe. I bought this seat on Sunday and I unpacked it, adjusted the straps one notch higher and had it installed nice and tight in the car in less than 5 minutes. The install itself took less than a minute. I am very picky about how my seats are installed. You attach this to the latch hooks and push (I put my knee in the seat) and move the seat side to side until it stops clicking. That's all it takes. If your car doesn't have latch you can still use the seat you just have to use the belt installation. This seat is a bit heavier than the other one but it's very nice and worth it. I am hoping it is just as easy to use on the plane. We have had no problems fastening any part of the seat or harness. The headpiece is easily adjustable also. Two built in cupholders are really convenient as well. Our three year old really likes it. Evenflow has a great chest clip as well that is not easy for the child to release. We have a graco that our son can undo easily. Our friends had this problem also and Graco told them just to teach their child not to do it. So many people are commenting about the ease and convenience of using the SureLatch system and there is even one review that says the seat was difficult to install in a car that didn't have factory installed lower anchors that I felt I had to ask a question. Research has recently come out stating that the LATCH system is not safe to use for children over 40lbs and that car seat safety belts should be used for bigger children. I am so happy with the purchase. We bought it for our almost 3 year old, since there's another one on the way and our infant will need to use the Evenflo Symphony we already own (another fantastic product). The best thing about this car seat is the SureLatch system, my 10 year old can easily install and remove this booster seat without any help. Just what we needed since we don't have much room for our 5 kids in the SUV. Our three year old sit very comfortably in it, almost better than in the all-in-one Evenflo we had him in before. I especially like the material. Things wash off very easy with a damp cloth. I would highly recommend this booster seat.
