This product is probably fine. The material feels sturdy enough for gate checking. I haven't had a chance to use it because I could not find its measurements anywhere. I ordered it anyway because it promises to hold the biggest car seats.... but not mine! If Amazom or Prince Lionheart had the measurements posted somewhere it would have saved me having to return it!
For reference it measure 17"x 17"x 34".

I used this on a recent flight to and from California and the bag is already ripped. My carseat is very large and it did fit but barely I have a Britax Marathon carseat.
