Another great thing about this car seat is the super easy installation and fit. We drive rather small cars for American standards (Volkswagen Jetta) and the seat fits great. Both of us are tall and despite the seat being installed right behind the driver's seat we still have all the leg room we can wish for (my husband is 6ft2in with long legs). I also love the weight of the seat. It is one of the lightest car seats out there which is great because this seat does get carried a lot.
By the way European tests also look at the fabrics used in car seats, strollers etc. This one is safe for the baby. Some of the fabrics in other car seats are not and contain chemicals that you don't want your little one to touch with either skin or mouth.

The Autom car seat is easy to use, and fairly easy to install base. Once base is installed it doesn't move making it very secure. The belt restraints on the seat itself I find I have to actually reach behind the seat and manually pull to loosen the straps or tighten, due to the metal plate on the back getting caught on a plastic ridge in back. The sun visor/hood is useless. Not near large enough to actually shade the child, and when I do use it it falls apart.I gave it three stars because it is very easy to secure and remove from base. It has the ability to be secured without the base in other vehicles which makes travel easy. I am greatly dissapointed in the quality of the canopy. And it is frustrated at the fact I have to manually adjust the straps.

I liked how large and plush this seat is, and indeed I think my (tall) infant daughter has fit in it for longer than she would have in some of those smaller seats, and she is quite comfortable and happy to go in the seat. It also rocks nicely when down.The base is super easy to install, especially with the LATCH system, so that is a plus.
However, for the price of the seat we were shocked at the stupid canopy. It is a ridiculous design. It fell apart right way and I've kind of sewn/tied it back on but it is pretty much useless.
I probably should have just bought a more standard seat that could be used with a more standard stroller system instead of spending so much on this.

I like the seat, my daughter seems comfortable in it. The base is very easy to install, especially if the latchkey system is used. The carrier clicks into the base easily, and comes out with a tip back motion and then an upward lift. That might be a little strange if your car is particularly tall I have noticed that it is difficult to remove from my Mom's van. I like how easy it is to adjust the straps on the seat. However, the canopy is useless, especially when it is up and you cannot fit your arm through the handle to carry the seat (poor, poor design). I am glad that I got brown because the cover is very difficult to reattach after washing it. As a matter of fact, on my first Aton I removed the cover to wash it and it never went back on correctly around the area where the child's feet sit. I am lucky because an airline damaged the seat and I got a brand new one. Now I am scared to take this cover off to wash it. It does not click into the cart basket at the grocery store like other seats do. I found this most annoying. Overall it is an OK seat. Knowing what I know now, I probably would not have spent this much money on a car seat.
