Not only is this car seat so easy to place in the car, it is a life saver. I fell while carrying my 7 week old in this car seat, and the seat went swinging upside down and crashed into the floor. While I was completely devastated, my baby hiccupped once and sat there happily, wondering what all the fuss was about. I hate to think what might have happened if we hadn't had her strapped into the seat. Perhaps needless to say, I am now in love with this seat! The only thing I suggest is getting extra infant head supports for very new babies, the headrest that came with it wasn't quite enough, so I rode in the back with baby on family car trips for the first few weeks.

I read every review on here before deciding on this carseat. We've been using it for 3 months, and we love everything about it.

The straps do tighten under the head-portion of the carseat, but for a rear-facing seat, I don't think this is a big deal. We almost always put her in the seat before putting the seat in the car too, so the straps are just as easy to get to as they would be if they were near the feet. I say try some in the store to see what you like.

My baby girl loves the carseat and seems to be comfortable, as she falls asleep almost instantly in it. The "cushion" of a carseat has nothing to do with the safety of it. This one has great safety ratings.

The fabric is VERY easy to clean...just wipe off with a wet washcloth or wipe.

The zooland fabric is adorable, and the bright colors catch my baby's attention.

The weight of the carseat is great. I can't imagine carrying the snugride 30 or 35 PLUS my baby. This lightweight 22 is perfect.

DO NOT BUY THIS SEAT... you will be so sorry. The tightening straps are two separate straps located BEHIND the seat. Good thinking! Like other reviewers we had a previous version of this seat with an industry standard tightening strap in the FRONT by the kiddos feet. We bought this one online thinking it would be the same as the last one and were VERY disappointed once we realized what we had. I'm flabbergasted that anyone is rating this seat anything but one star... I can only assume they are actually rating other versions that didn't have so much fail in the design. This was such a stupid design that I have avoided buying other Graco products assuming that somehow a group of monkeys has taken over the offices of product design and approval without anyone suspecting.
