I ordered a few of these shower cap style covers to compare (JJ Cole, First Years, sootheTIME, Jumper Jolly). The sootheTIME was thick and seems waterproof but it can only be closed using velcro. That was a huge NO for me since you would make a lot of noise opening this, potentially waking up a sleeping baby. Also, it's thick but not as thick as the Jumper Jolly; the JJ Cole and First Years version is much thinner than the sootheTIME. I chose the Jumper Jolly because: it covers baby completely, still has a peep hole that can be kept open, uses zippers instead of velcro for easy in-and-out access, and is still thick enough for Michigan winters.

I am having our third winter baby this year and really wanted one of these for the car seat (I just used regular blankets with my other two). I like the material of this product and it does not get any credit in the description. It is thicker than I expected and the outer lining is almost a raincoat material for rainy days (which I love because most others are fleece). Why I gave this 4 starts is because I ordered the "white" thinking that it would be white with the same stars pattern as shown. The white is actually bright white on the outside with a really cute modern black and white pattern on the inside. I can't complain too much because it is cute. I also like the was the top velcros together to have an "open top" or a more protected car seat. It looks really easy to wipe clean!

This cover is excellent at keeping out rain and wind, and would work well for a mild winter location This cover is not meant for very cold weather. It worked perfectly for our Virginia climate. I agree the Velcro can be loud, but mostly I folded the top section back and just used the main zipper to take the baby in and out. I also had no problem fitting it on a 2010 Graco car seat.

I got this for my daughter's carseat not only did it not fit her seat which is baby trend, it did not fit her cousin's Graco seat. This also does not have a flap to cover the face in which gets cold from freezing weather making the cover pointless. We ended up getting the Cozy Cover from Walmart instead and it fits way better as well has has a breathable flap to protect baby's face when transporting to and from the car in cold and or rainny weather. Not at all impressed with this cover. Don't waste your money on it. The Cozy Cover is way better and half the cost.
