My Mom purchased this travel system for me in July 2011. I have no complaints infant carseats are pretty much the same to me, and the stroller seemed nice.
However, I started using the stroller more last summer, and after a while it was a little harder to open/close. A month ago I wasn't able to open or close it at all! Finally I got it open, and it's been stuck open since then. (My husband couldn't get it closed, either, and he's a lot stronger/has bigger hands than I do.) I wrote Graco about it and they said I could pay to have it shipped to them and they would replace it. Since I could buy a new stroller for the cost of shipping it, I decided against that. While researching double strollers, I stumbled across a suggestion to spray WD-40 inside the handle, so I did that. I also went ahead and sprayed inside the manual open/close mechanism on the sides. It opens smoother than it ever has!
If you're having trouble with what's supposed to be an incredibly easy one-handed open/close, try some WD-40. It's annoying that you should have to do something like that, but it beats having to buy a new stroller!I've had this stroller for awhile now and had just been spot cleaning it but the seat had started to get really grungy from my boys dirty summer legs, sunscreens etc. I thought the fabric would come off with a few snaps like my graco double stroller. WRONG!!!!!!!!!! There were so many snaps, undoing, and I had to unscrew 6 screws to get the fabric off the wash this.....Not ideal for people that like to wash regularly
