This is not a safe product. Beware. The mirror is attached to a strap via a 'ball in socket' plastic connector. On day three of owning this product, the mirror fell out of the socket while we were driving. The mirror unit did not properly snap back in to the socket after falling out.

Separately, we had run the car thru the CHP (california highway patrol) checkpoint to make sure our baby seat was installed correctly the same week. The CHP reinforced how dangerous the Sunshine Kids Easy View mirror is we were reminded by the officer that we were lucky it did not injure our infant son when it fell off. We would return it for a refund, but with postage, it nets out the cost of the poor quality product.

This mirror was easy to install and I loved that I could rotate it to exactly the best viewing point to see my son. Unfortunately on the second day I hit a pothole and the mirror separated from the base and fell into my son. I am lucky it did not hit his head or face and cause damage!!! I am returning this product, because after several attempts of trying to make the mirror stay on the base I have come to the conclusion there is no way to do so. It was quite a disappointment!

I was having a hard time finding a mirror that works with my car. I have a Nissan Rogue, and the backseat headrests are not adjustable. I believe other Nissan vehicles are built the same way. This wraps around the headrest horizontally. All other mirrors only worked with adjustable headrests and had to be inserted under the headrest vertically. So happy I found this so I can now see my baby boy when driving! :)

I too had one that fell apart, and luckly, my 3 month old wasn't in the car-seat at the time. The problem is where the mirror assembly attaches to the ball joint. It's not the joint itself, but where the post on the back of the mirror enters into the ball of the joint. It's glued in with what looks like a Gorilla Glue type adhesive. Between two smooth surfaces. With glue mostly at the tip of the shaft. There is no way anyone should have green-lighted this method of manufacture. It's sad, because the ability to offset the mirror is a great feature, and is the only car-seat mirror I've found that works in my Mazda 5.

This mirror I guess is supposed to rotate on a ball so that you can angle it any which way you choose. The ball seemed to be glued in place, and the mirror snapped right off when trying to adjust it. If it could have been moved, it would have made a great mirror.
