In our opinion, Peg Perego infant carriers and bases had the best reputation for safety and quality among our friends and family. We were able to purchase separate bases to install and to keep in our individuals cars so that there was no hassle in installing bases whenever the baby switched cars. It was easy to install and the "click" made us sure that our baby was safe and secure. I highly recommend Peg Perego to my family and friends!

works like a champ, identical to the original base. Needed a second one for the the second car, instead of remebering to swap when taking different cars, or when wife leaves and I forget to get the base, partially stranding me and junior at home.

If you purchase the Peg-Perego Primo Viaggio infant car seat, it comes with one base. I highly recommend purchasing a second if you will be putting your baby in more than one car! We have a total of three or four bases (I've lost count) between my car, my husband's, my mom's, and maybe my dad's. It's very handy to be able to switch the seat from car to car without having the fight with the base every time. While the cost may be a little steep, the base works with all versions of the Primo Viaggio, so when we replaced our car seat for our third baby (five years later) we were able to keep all of our bases for the new car seat. Because of the quality of the car seats and the length of time we've been able to use them, I feel the price (and my children's safety) have been well worth it.

This extra base is nice to have if you are going to be transporting baby in more than one car. (Then, you don't have to move the base around, just keep it attached in each car.) I love how it clicks in to my car easily using the LATCH system and adjusts using knob. You can tell it is in the right spot when the arrow is in the green sectionso easy to tell if you have it installed correctly.
