My first baby was fine with the U-shaped cushions cradling all of her head. But those only worked 1-2 weeks for my second, bigger baby. The Summer Infant Cradler let him have all the room from top to bottom he needed.

-Prevents from slouching forward

-Prevents head flopping onto shoulder and causing crick in neck

-Washable (it's gonna get spit up on it, nice to wash it)

-Baby didn't like it at first cuz obviously it's awkward, so I used it on short errands at first to get him used to it, and then baby was totally fine.

My wife and I have four kids and it wasn't until our last one did we feel we needed something like this. Even though she can turn her head in any direction, our infant daughter always preferred to tilt her head to the right. Our doctors said that it's likely that's the way she was in the womb. We were told that the best thing to do is to encourage her to straighten her head (face forward) when possible.

So when she was laying in a crib, car seat, or one of our many other kid things, we placed rolled up towels next to her head. After a few weeks of dealing with loose towels near her head, we decided to find something that would serve the same purpose.

After doing a lot of research, this infant cradler fits the bill perfectly. Our daughter is comfortable and more importantly, her head is straight when using this. The width is adjustable so it will grow with her. Hopefully we won't need to continue to use this after a few months.

I returned this pillow because the middle part where you velcro goes, it's very bumpy and I do not want my baby to be laying her head on the bumpy pillow like that especially in the car seat. It also looks like it will expand but you can't really expand it because then the velcro will be exposed to touch, which means my baby will be laying her head on top of the velcro. I returned it.

The one problem I had with this product was the velcro was on the wrong side, when it was adjusted the rough velcro faced the baby's head.
