My daughter was getting to big for her infant seat sooner then I expected. I shopped around for a cheap " big girl " seat for her. Most of the ones I had seen priced above my budget. I found this one at Amazon, and loved the color and design. Its not very expensive, Its lightweight. Easy to move. And my daughter can fall asleep in it without hurting her neck. I love that this comes with extra wide sides so the child can lean against it like a pillow. This is a musthave for any little princess in your life!

I own a couple of Britax roundabout 50/55, a Britax marathon, a graco snugride 65, and a britax infant carseat.First off, the Cosco does seem like it's a flimsy construction, the keyword being 'seem.' The latches are like metal clips, like the snugride, whereas the britax have a clickie system (kinda reminds me of a seatbelt.) The construction of the seat is a bit more flexible than the Britax (Britax's construction is bit stiffer, so if you want a stiffer car seat to feel safer, maybe the Britax is a better choice.) The feel of the cosco is not soft but not hard either, reminds me of the infant car seats. The britax (marathon/roundabouts)has a little bit more padding but my daughter (13months) would sit in the britax and cry cry cry but when she sits in the Cosco, she would fall right to sleep and actually enjoys the car ride.
One of the flow with the Cosco is that you can't adjust the seat's recline like the Britax. However, we wedged a couple pieces of cardboard to set the recline and it seems to be working just fine. We pulled and tugged on the Cosco after we finished adjusting and tightening it, and it would budge a little bit but not as other reviewers describe. i think if we used a towel instead of cardboard, it would have eliminated the wiggling. The britax in comparison doesn't even budge.
Overall, this seat is a GREAT value and is pretty decent for the price. I have no complaints so far. I would recommend this to friends who are looking for a good car seat but doesn't want to spend $200+ dollars on a car seat. I'm going to switch my 2year old to the Cosco car seat (she's in the roundabout right now) since it has cupholders!!!
