Our 7 month old daughter outgrew her first car seat by length so we bought this one. It is so much more roomier for her. She's very long but skinny so we still use the newborn inserts around her butt and stomach. Installation was super easy if you use the LATCH system. If not, well we don't use the seat belt way so I'm not sure how that works. Also, as other reviews have said, it doesn't seem like you get all the slack out when installing the seat but it only moves a little. Also, once you figure out the button to loosen the shoulder straps it's quick and easy to get the baby in and out. You just have to find the right spot to press. We think it's great. Also, one last plus is that this seat comes with the head rest strap to use once it's switch to forward facing. I have seen lately in the news that they might be changing the car seat designs to include this strap. This keeps the top of the car seat strapped in while using the bottom strap too.

First of all, my 18 lb 4 month old loves this carseat! And I feel like he's very safe and secure. It was a little difficult to install. It required the use of a dense pillow under it to achieve the correct recline. The thing that bothered me the most however, is that the belt strap that you pull to tighten baby into the seat is pretty far down on the front of the carseat, leaving it pinched between the baby carseat and the actual seat it's in (while rear facing). Yes it's a little hard to tighten, but it's something we decided to deal with, and we now have three of this seat, two for us and one for grandma.

Over all this is a nice product and my 11 month old fits in it nice, and she likes it. On the front of the box it says 'Great for small cars'. Well, my wife has a Ford Focus and yes it fits in the back seat, but you have to move the front seat far up so if you are about a 5'10" or taller man, it's makes for an uncomfortable ride. So that's why I gave it 4 stars. Other than that, the fucntionality is great! 5 point harness that is easy to work with. And overall it's easy to adjust in the vehicle. OH! One other complaint, there is supposed to be an 'anchor' in your car/truck somewhere so the rear latch can connect to it. The only anchor I found on my wife's Ford was the one just under the back seat (Where the seat latches in to the body of the car. Good luck and I hope this helped.

We have not crashed so I can't say anything about that, but the boy seems compfortable in it, there is plenty of cushoin and room to grow. He is currently 23lbs and probably 30 something inches.

3 cars, 3 car seats. We bought a couple of other models and returned them. This one has very nice extra padding without having to go out and purchase extra padding. Liked the first one so much we bought 2 more. The strap release button is a bit low and stiff to pull, but I'd rather that than too loose. I definitely recommend this one.
