Fabric was very cute and looks like it would be very functional for a hot weather climate (the fabric is much too thin to keep out bad or cold weather.) Unfortunately this cover didn't fit my carseat, the Chicco Keyfit 30. This cover was clearly made to fit a different carseat as the proportions were totally wrong for the Keyfit.

So its the middle of flu & cold season as well as RSV season and you want to take your baby anywhere outside. How do you keep those people with no common sense or concept of personal space from putting their sneeze maker 2 inches from your immunity-free baby? In steps the JJ Cole Car Seat Canopy to work as a sneeze shield and prove the concept of "out of sight out of mind." Since putting this on our Graco car seat we are 14 days in a row wierd-stranger free. If only they would make a similar product for the pregnant belly that would keep these same people from akwardly petting you in the grocery store.

The cover fits great on our car seat and the canopy works to keep it off the baby when the handle is down and the ties cannot be used (according to our car seat safety expert the handle should be down while driving). It's also easy to unattach the elastic held bottom and flip it over the top of the seat to put the baby in/out of the seat and then pull it back down to cover the baby.

The material is light weight, which is great in Phoenix, but is probably to thin by itself for winters anywhere where it gets cold enough to snow.

I waited for months for this to come because it had just been released. I like the print. I like how it is pretty gender neutral and I like the fabric and how light it is. One thing I am frustrated with is that after the second time using it one of the loops ripped off. I didn't even do anything to pull at it that hard. Something that comes apart that easily is not worth $18. Also you can't put the handle down while using it. The handle has to stay upright. I tried putting the handle down to get my daughter out and it pulled and wouldn't go down without undoing all the velcro and taking the front part of the cover off of the carseat. However when I was reading reviews on it there seemed to be mixed views on if it would fit a Chicco key fit carseat, so if you have that carseat it does fit. It does sag a little on top but it fits around the carseat no problem. I just wish it worked better for us. I ended up sewing ties to a receiving blanket and tying that to the carseat as a cover and it worked out way better for us.

This is an awesome idea. I didn't have this product with my first 2 kids and used blankets etc. that would blow off, or be pulled off by baby. This did the job of protecting my baby #3 from sun and people much better. It was easy to put on and take off. I used it on Chicco Keyfit just fine. My baby is now 7 months old and his feet are getting in the way of closing the cover. (he is almost too big for his infant carseat). My only problem with this product was that the stitching started coming apart at the top of the canopy after a few months of use.

Love the fact that this has elastic at the bottom to help fight wind and also velcro to keep it closed. It is exactly what we were planning on concocting because the other canopy we had would fly up in the wind and let in light on the sides. This pattern looks nice as well and I like that it is just one layer of cotton to help with the heat in summer. I will say that it can get hot inside if you have it closed up all the way but we have found ways around that. Once he is asleep we undo the bottom two pieces of velcro and open up the canopy off of the bottom corners to let in a little air. The canopy still keeps the light/distractions at bay and he gets more air.

FYI We are using it on a Britax B-Safe car seat.
