*UPDATE: We have had this stroller system for over a year now, and I still rate it 5 stars. The quality of this stroller is awesome. We have not had anything on it break or any of the material tear, and it still pushes like a dream (which is impressive given that it's been subject to some abuse from multiple trips on an airplane and rough handling putting it in/taking it out of the car). The cover for the carrier has been washed multiple times and still looks brand new. It's very stain resistant: our baby had a couple of blow-outs in it, yet we have never had any stains remain on it after washing. The only complaint I do have is that my baby outgrew the carrier at 10 months, but I am not terribly upset about this as she is a rather large baby (95th percentile for height and weight at the time, but still under the height/weight restrictions of the carrier). I imagine that a smaller baby would have no trouble with the carrier until about a year or maybe even longer. Around the time she started to outgrow the carrier, we did have problems with the cover slipping off from the top of the seat where it cinches on. I'm not sure if the cover just stretched out over time, or if it had something to do with the fact that she was getting too big for the seat. Regardless, this system was well worth the money, and I would purchase it again in a heartbeat.*

If you have been researching travel systems for your baby, look no further! This system is awesome! After weeks worth of researching I decided to go with this system and I couldn't be happier with it. It is such good quality and feels very sturdy. The feature I like most about it is the material...the gray color feels like suede and the patterned portion feels somewhat cotton/cloth-like which is different than a lot of carriers/strollers that have material that just feels like plastic which I am sure is very hot and uncomfortable for baby. Please note though that if you go with the elephanta version of this travel system, the material that is in the center is more mesh/plastic-like instead of having a cloth feel. The greenish material is plastic feeling however, but it is in spots that shouldn't be a bother to baby. The coloring and pattern make this system very gender neutral.

Other great features about this system are that it comes with the Snugride 30 (one of the safest infant carseats on the market), the stroller can turn on a dime using just one hand, and the stroller can also be folded up with just one hand. When the carrier is in the stroller, both umbrellas match up nicely leaving no gaps for wind/other elements to get through which I have noticed is an issue with other systems. Also, there is a vent on the umbrella of the stroller which you can open and close by flipping a flap of material over it. The carrier is also light weight.

The only two bad things I have to say are that the stroller will take up most of the trunk space in a smaller vehicle and the padding on the handle of the stroller will leave your hands very smelly after only touching it for a minute. Other than that I can't wait to be able to use this once my baby arrives.

Deciding on what travel system to buy when I had my baby was probably one of the hardest things I had to do as far as baby shopping. I sat online and read reviews for probably 2-3 weeks, we went into stores, felt strollers, moved them and pushed them to make sure it felt right and still it was difficult to decide. I didn't have a fortune to spend on the most expensive stroller available but I wanted to make a good purchase so that it was worthwhile and lasted me for as long as possible. I Purchased this in September for our baby and its been amazing. The whole system works really well, for being a travel system its pretty compact. The stroller folds to fit in my car trunk which was a big concern initially because my car is on the smaller side. Love that the stroller can recline in a complete laying position, I can have my daughter with me all day and not have to worry about her not sleeping comfortably. The sun shade goes out far enough that she is not bothered and the netting on the cover still lets me see her without having to walk all the way around the stroller. It folds and unfolds super easily, I thought I was going to struggle with it but the fact that you push a button and twist the handle all in one to bring it down is great. I can have my baby in one arm and fold the stroller with the other, (what mom doesn't love to be able to multi-task). The car seat is very comfortable feeling, soft and works great even in the Southern heat. Its really easy to use and everything adjusts really well. The straps adjust with the push of a button so you don't have to mess with them in the back and its really easy to get baby in and out of it without interrupting her naps. Car seat snaps in and out of the base easily and fits well in my smaller car with plenty of room still to spare. Baby is 7 months old currently and will continue using this for quite a while longer, glad that I bought it and can use it for so long and get my moneys worth out of it. Overall its wonderful and I am so glad this is the travel system I got versus anything else.

We've been using the car seat in this travel system for 6 and a half months now, and it has served us well. It's sturdy, lightweight, and gender neutral (in my opinion). However, I've got a pretty tall boy, so he will be outgrowing it in the next few weeks I am sure. As for the stroller, we ended up selling it on Craigslist. We live in Seattle, and it just could not stand up to all the hills and and bumps in the sidewalk. It was making my wrists hurt (I'm 5'3") and it would completely jostle my son around like crazy. And then there was the fact that it was so huge that even with the wheels removed, I couldn't fit it into the trunk of our small car. (Infiniti G35) We ended up with a Britax B-Agile, which I adore. If I could have a do over, I wouldn't buy a Graco travel system combo, just the car seat.

Honest reviews on Graco Stylus Classic Connect LX Travel System, Winslet

Like many first time moms, I researched for many weeks while I was pregnant because I wanted a travel system that would last, as we plan on having more kids. I knew from the beginning that I wanted one from Graco, and after reading that the Snugride 30 is one of the safest carseats for babies, I decided to give it a go. We actually received it as a gift for our baby shower and we couldn't have asked for a greater gift. My daughter is now 7 months old and we have taken this travel system everywhere (zoo, vacations, trails, malls) and it has not let us down. It literally closes up with just the twist of a handle. I love that it has a main brake on the back that you can just push with your foot. Extremely useful when you are placing the carseat into the stroller. It also has front brakes and the sun visor is large enough so that if there's no shade, you can cover up your baby and still see him/her through the netting. The stroller seat goes all the way down, which is a HUGE advantage when you're out and about and need to change your baby and there's no bathrooms nearby. I even use it to go grocery shopping. I'm not a fan of placing the car seats on shopping carts as it is a safety issue, so I just take my stroller and place my groceries in the large basket underneath (unless you're the type of person who has a huge grocery list all the time, then they might not all fit). Beware, as there are other travel systems at Babies R us that imitate this one, but they are DIFFERENT models. This one is better, I love it so much, and so does my baby.

LOVE this combo set! I believe it was $190 at Babies R Us and I signed up for their emails and one day they had a 20% off sale so I paid much less. Would not pay $245 for it though, that's insane!!

I have 7-yr-old twins and thought my family was complete, so I ditched all my baby stuff. When our surprise baby #3 entered the equation, I had to buy all new stuff and swore I wouldn't make the same baby item mistakes with this baby that I did with the twins...like the infant car seat. After months of research, I ordered a seat through Amazon. When it arrived, I realized that it wouldn't work, so I returned it (thanks, Amazon). The hunt was back on.

Finally, I purchased the Peg-Perego Primo Vaggio SIP. Out of the box, I was happy with the design nice fabric, good handle grip size (some are too fat for girl hands), nice big canopy, and user-friendly buttons/lock releases. Now that the baby is here, I'm even more pleased with the purchase. Unlike other reviewers, I found that my baby is MUCH more comfy in this than in the Graco seats I had with our twins. Her head does not flop around like theirs did, she seems cozy and falls asleep every time we use the seat. I even put her in the seat and bring her into the bathroom so that I can shower.

The majority of complaints I saw were about the straps tangling. It is my experience that ALL 3and 5-point harness straps tangle and are a bit of a pain. In any case, I have had no difficulty with them at all. I'm also shocked to see that folks complain about the size and weight of this seat. Yes, it is bulky to lug around. So are all infant car seats. No infant car seat is really ideal for carrying long distances. That's what snap-n-go strollers are for!

In a nutshell: I love this seat and would recommend it.

UPDATE: After five months, I still love this car seat and would buy it again. However, I have a few minor complaints that I wish I had known in advance. 1. The canopy ends RIGHT at the handle when it is in the carrying position. That means when I stick it in the crook of my arm, the canopy pops out of it's locked position. That brings me to gripe #2. The canopy only has two positions open or folded. It will NOT stay half way. Finally, gripe #3. It is very difficult to find a car seat cover (e.g. Bundle Me) to fit around the head rests. I ended up buying four different styles and, naturally, only the most expensive one fit over the side impact wings.

As a 1st time parent I'm naturally very interested in keeping our baby boy safe. So when he decided to come 10 weeks early, I had a lot of items to buy in a hurry! I'm THRILLED with this purchase. I would buy it again. I have, and continue, to recommend it to anyone looking for a carseat. WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Here's why:

1. It fit our preemie. He was safe, comfy, and it has grown well wtih him.

2. Super easy to install into our car(s), we have a Subaru Forester & Nissan Titan. Also used it in a Rav4 & Chevy Malibu rental cars, it fit both perfectly. I use it behind the passenger seat.

3. Color is awesome! We have the green shade and I get TONS of compliments on it. Fabric is good quality and has not had any reactions with his skin, as I've read for some other brands.

4. SAFTY!!! When my son was 7 months old, we were rearended at a stop light by a teenager not paying attention. There were 3 adults and my infant in the car. All three adults got mild whiplash my son was 100% fine!!! THIS CAR SEAT IS AWESOME!!! The paramedics on the scene said this brand is the BEST, he sees it save infants all the time! It's been 3 months and our baby is still OK, no hidden whiplash, etc.

5. Easy to remove from the car & connect into our stroller, then put back into the car.

So, you can see, it's great. Here are my negatives just cause nothing is perfect.

1. It's heavier then some other seats out there, but not the heaviest, and the quality is worth it! So I did't mind.

2. The straps twist, making it hard to tighten, but it's been 9 months and that's only now becoming an issue, and he's almost outgrown it.

3. It only lasted us 10 months, our lil preemie isn't so lil anymore!

Best Deals for Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Car Seat

I ordered one of the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 infant car seats in Oct 2013 and was startled to find the new car seat arriving with a Feb 2012 manufacture's date. Since the inventory had said, "7 in stock and more on the way," I had assumed it was a 2013 model car seat.

I called Peg Perego customer service and they were able to give me a list of the colors that were being produced as 2013 models. They also told me to check the Item Model Number. If the Item Model Number started with IMPV02, then it was a manufactured in 2013 carseat. If the code started with anything else (i.e. IMPV00), then it was a 2012 or older car seat.

This information was very helpful to me as I placed an order for a 2013 carseat. I hope this information can be helpful for someone else.

I cannot rate the carseat itself yet as we have not used it yet.

Honest reviews on Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Car Seat

I'm a mom of 3 and haves used Peg seats since 2002. Currently, we have both a Graco Snugride and this Primo Viaggio. The Graco is used with the 2011 Bob jogging stroller car seat adapter as Peg does not work with it in Bob's newly redesigned 2011 strollers. So the Graco is not used in my Lexus RX and it stays with my jogger. If you put these two brands side by side, you can see & feel the difference: Graco is inferior in material & has no side impact protection for child's head. My baby's head rattles around in the Graco so I use A snuzzler insert to brace her head. With the Peg I don't have to do this. The Graco's fabric is a little sweaty with nylon fabric, Peg has a Comfort Dry. What it boils down to is which one will withstand a crash...I'd venture to say Peg is safer. The Graco is so plasticy & light but that is reflected in their price. It's not often I'm lugging baby around without a snap n go type car seat stroller ( I use both a Joovy Caboose & the Baby Trend brand ).

The follow up seat we've used after 30lbs is Recaro, another superior brand and they make awesome convertible seats to boosters.

I did lots of research before buying car seat and stroller and ended up with Peg Perego and I am not disappointed. This car seat is sturdy and I feel safe transporting my LO in it. Even got complemented on it in NICu by nurses while doing the car seat challenge.

What I like about it:

made in Italy

nice quality fabrics

very comfy newborn insert

easy to install with the base, snaps in

works great with Peg Perego stroller frame snaps in, just like in the car base

very sturdy

goes up to 30 lb

nice, big hood

Pois grey color is nice for a little boy and nice escape from super bright baby colors (hubby appreciates it)

I have read many reviews on this car seat complaining about the weight and I was little concerned. It turns out, it is heavy, but I find it a plus I know, that my child is safe in it. I am still able to carry it around if needed, but most of the time I use it with the stroller base, so if this is your plan, I highly recommend it.

I think the only thing I don't like about this seat is that the handle is not suppose to be in front of the baby in car mode, so no hanging toys from it to entertain the little one.

I registered for this mirror for our first baby based off reviews of others here who loved it, so I thought I should write a review to explain why it didn't work for us. Maybe we just have oddly made seats, but this mirror didn't work in either of our vehicles (a 2011 Mazda 3 hatchback and a 2011 Chevy Equinox). It is made to strap onto a headrest, but we have our car seat in the center of the back seat, where there is no headrest (I think many other cars are like this, too). Both of them are bench seats. Although it says it can still be used without the headrest on a bench seat by bending the metal stand over the seat and clamping it in place, it is not steady at all. I didn't even attempt to drive with it held on like that, because I knew it would fall off and land in our baby's car seat. The adjustable stand that is supposed to hold the mirror up didn't work at all either; it is not sturdy enough to hold the mirror up, and it kept kept falling over forwards or backwards. I ended up getting the Britax car seat mirror that can be installed on an adjacent headrest because it will pivot to show the car seat in the center of the back seat.

I did a bit of research on a baby mirror considering out existing mirror was not working for us. We were given the Bright Starts See & Play Auto Mirror (elephant) for our baby shower and thought it was adorablebut when it was time to actually use it, we realized we couldn't see our baby! This Brica mirror is large and you can see your baby with no problem, and from any height or angle. The mirror does not appear like a funhouse mirror either, but is made of a safe material. It's easy to install and adjust! We're very happy with this product!

Having a baby mirror saved my daughter's life! I was driving my 16 month old daughter on a busy highway, when I noticed something wasn't right with her in the mirror. I pulled over immediatelyshe was having a febrile seizure and had cut off her airwayshe was completely blue, cold and limp. Being an ER nurse, I quickly did rescue breaths and CPRher breathing returned within a minute or two, although she was unconscious for several hours. Thankfully, after an overnight stay at the hospital, she is completely back to her normal sweet and playful self! She had NEVER had a febrile seizure before, and it was scary how it came from nowhere. If I didn't have this mirror, I would not have been able to see that something wasn't right with her, and we could have had a much different outcome. I will now encourage ALL of my mom friends to get this, and will also buy one for every baby shower from now one!!! Please get thisit could save your child's life!

Honest reviews on Brica Baby In-Sight Mirror, Gray

My wife and I saw these in Babies 'R' Us while setting up our baby registry, but didn't see the need at the time. After a couple of short car rides with the baby in the back, we ordered it. The mirror installed in our car in less than five minutes. After reading other reviews, I did note the concern about using the product in a car without adjustable back seat headrests. Fortunately, both my car and my wife's have the adjustable type. Installation was quick and painless. If you do not have adjustable headrests though, be prepared to Macgyver something to keep it in place or look for another product. You need to be able to slide a flexible arm under the headrest in order for the mirror to stay in place with the straps. As long as you can get that flexible arm under the headrest, you should be okay. The arm is just a thin piece of wire covered in fabric so you don't need much of a gap at all, but it won't work with a solid one-piece seat and headrest. I am giving this 5 out of 5 stars because it was what I was looking for, installed easily on my applications, and serves it purpose all for a fair price.

Pros:

Large, and can see baby from both driver's and front passenger's side in both our Ridgeline and Outback.

Keeps baby entertained...

Not very reflective, so sun doesn't reflect back into baby's face

Adjustable strap allows from some adjustment, but not a lot

Cons:

As one of the other reviews mentioned, you have to have adjustable headrests for this to work. The strap goes over/under the headrest. If you don't have an adjustable headrest, you're not able to use this mirror. While this wasn't an issue for me, I can see where this would be an issue for others.
