The car seat straps are comfortable and really does prevent my 16 month old from getting these painful looking red lines on the sides of her neck...that is when she doesn't pull them off. I ordered 2 pairs for my 16 month old & my 4 month old. The younger one can barely turn so these covers stay in place and serve their purpose but the older one sometimes wants to play with them and their small amount of velcro makes it extremely easy for her to do this. I recommend finding one that has snaps instead of velcro or that has a longer, thicker strip of velcro rather than the 2 tiny squares of velcro on each side of the jeep seatbelt strap cover.

I like that they are reversible and that each side has a different texture because the furry side is nice but in Florida it can be too hot and irritating in the summer.

The shipping is pretty fast, and the quality of the product is fine.

But it is a little bit confusing because it says it is 2 pack which I thought there are two pairs. Actually it is only one pair in it which makes the price high.

Since I need another pair of this kind of strap covers, I shop at local walmart and find a good one with lower price.

Strap covers are very soft and a good size to use with our convertible car seat (baby is 10 months). They slide around easy and don't get in the way while we're strapping her in. They're thin enough to not be bulky and awkward but long enough to prevent the belt strap from rubbing on the baby's neck. I am pleased with this buy.

We bought these for our 5 1/2 month old once the days started getting warmer and he wasn't wearing jackets anymore. I'd noticed that the belts in his car seat were rubbing on his neck, so I went to find some inexpensive strap covers. These were pretty reasonable and went with his car seat. Bottom line they work great. Once you put them on you can slide them up or down the straps to make sure they're in the right spot each time. They are soft without being bulky & he no longer has rub marks on his neck. I definitely recommend them!

These are soft, washable, and pretty good. They are not very cushioned, and are the same thickness all-the-way around. I think the uniform thickness makes them not hold position as well as the variety that are very thick on top, and thin on the bottom. They slide down the belt a bit.

I bought a different set that works a little better, but these are still useful. Now, I swap them back and forth when I wash them, but I prefer the other variety.

After using the Sunshine Kids Ultra Mat for 4 months, I purchased two more mats. This is the best seat protector I found for several reasons:

It doesn't smell. I had to return everything I had bought at Babies R Us due to a heavy rubber smell that never went away even after airing the products for a week.

It's made of two pieces so it can be used in stages. Use the bottom piece only when using a rear-facing infant seat, or both pieces when using a front-facing car seat.

It's made of two pieces so it fits any height car seat. I have a Britax car seat which is really tall. The other seat protectors did not reach all the way to the top of my SUV's seat, so the car seat rested directly on the leather, but with this seat protector, I could raise the back piece as high as I needed it to fully protect my SUV's seat.

It's thick enough that even after months of use, there's no marks on the SUV's leather seats.

It has indentations in the bottom portion to accommodate car seats using the latch system.

A note on the height issue: A friend of mine bought the Duomat 2-In-1 Car Seat Mat, which he found to be very nice as well and it did not smell. He had to return it however due to the fact that the mat was not as high as the seat of his Honda Odyssey, and his Britax Marathon car seat at the very top rested directly on the Honda seat with no protector in between.

I purchased this for my car which is a Jetta and this fits perfectly and protects the bottom and back of the leather seats. It even has a place cut out for the car seat locks to attach to the metal hooks on the car and also hides them. The storage compartment on the front is very useful and i like that this covers the entire car seat we have which is a Chicco. The car seat does not slide at all when sitting on this mat. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with leather seats.

Shipment was very fast. It was easy to use.

The actual slits to access the latch/belts are wider than in former models or what it is shown in the pictures. I guess they acknowledged prior complaints of difficult access. However, the tongue that slides in between the seat and the back to secure mat in place, now is narrower; don't know if that has an impact on security; it does not seem to interfere with the installation because the grip of the rest of the fabric is good. It also leaves a wider gap that may allow spills to get to the seats.

The fabric of the protector bunched up a little after the car seats were installed, but I sealed-tight them to the maximum. They do not move at all.

It leaves 1-2 inch of exposed fabric on the side of the seat ( Honda Odyssey/ mid row seats). But it is wide and tall enough to protect the seat from the car seat (Britax Roundabout). And comparing measurements, reviews, and safe installation of car seats, this still seems to be the best choice in the market.

It has two pieces; one for the seat, one for the back, that overlap, leaving more room for adjustment in height. Color is darker than in pictures. It has no rubbery smell unlike others. Long term results ....do not know yet.

Addendum Be aware that for rear facing car seats, the constant rubbing of their feet against the back piece, detaches little pieces of plastic from the surface of the cover that are all over the place; I placed a thin pillow at that area to prevent that from happening. No other issues after 10 months.

This booster is easy to use and our 5 year old says it is super comfortable. We also have the Parkway (Britax). The Recaro construction is way solider and the fabric is much nicer and more durable. This seat and our last Recaro have converted me from a Britax mommy to a Recaro mommy. If you want a real comparison of the two brands, take the covers off. You'll be shocked by the quality difference based on being the same price.

An excellent booster except for the fact that the designers were pretty short sided.

I'm going to be as fair and as objective as possible with this review so other parents know exactly what they are getting before they decide to purchase this booster or not.

This is honestly an excellent car seat with very high ratings from the insurance institute of traffic safety, so why did we send it back? And would not recommend it to most people?

The reason is simple design. Not that it's a bad design, it's actually very very good IF you are in the market niche that Recaro targets with their products and marketing.

Here's what I mean. Recaro makes the very best car chairs for high end sports cars and race cars. They have a very high profile brand in their industry with automotive enthusiasts.

Having said that, Recaro has created and excellent car seat for THAT market.

By this I mean, that typically cars/vans/trucks/suv's etc are made with back seats that are either: bucket seats, bench seats, or flat seats.

Sports cars have bucket seats.

You have to understand this point upfront before you decide on this car seat for your child. Because if your car doesn't have BUCKET seats in back you need to PASS on buying this booster.

Here's the problem. The base of the Recaro booster seat is narrower then the seating surface of the booster.

As a result, this causes the entire booster to TILT and LEAN left of or right whenever the car is making a turn, and your child will be tossed from side to side ANYTIME you make a turn. This is not acceptable is unsafe!

The addition of LATCH straps would help to stabilize the booster in this case, but sadly the Recaro has none.

However, IF you drive a sports car that has BUCKET seats in back, the Recaro's narrow base should drop into the bucket seat and not tilt as the bucket seats side bolsters should prevent side to side rocking. Indecently, the Insurance industry test rating was done while this booster was in a BUCKET seat not a flat or bench seat.

Clearly, bucket seats were what this booster was designed for and it makes sense considering who Recaro is and who they make automotive chairs for. It's just a shame that they aren't more specific in their marketing that this car seat will not work or keep your child safe unless you have bucket seats.

We drive a BMW X3 and to be fair the booster fit well, however our suv doesn't have bucket seats in back thus causing the booster to rock constantly. We never even took our child out in the booster on city streets because it was rocking so much just driving around our sub-division. (And yes, it was installed correctly...)

I bought this specifically for a 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet (the new 991 body style). All other booster seats were far too wide to fit in the narrow rear seat. Not only does it fit perfectly, but it looks great! My four year old fits perfectly and claims to be comfortable in it. Would recommend to any Porsche 911 owner looking to fit their little ones in the back.

Fyi...I did check with Recaro today and LATCH is not currently available on the ProBooster seat. It is possible that the newer performance booster seat coming out in Fall 2013 may be equipped with LATCH but will have to wait and see when more information is available.

This car seat is exactly what we were looking for after our 8 month old outgrew his carrier. I was impressed with the safety I read about it and my son seems comfortable even on longer trips. Once you take time to learn the seat it is easy to adjust and install and I see plenty of room for his growth. Love the swing away arms and cup holder! The only negative I can think of is the lap belt has twisted easily a few times but untwists just as easily. We are very happy with it and just ordered a second for our second car.

I am a child passenger safety technician and I cringe whenever i see this seat come into a seat check. It does not fit newborns like it claims to. It is quickly outgrown. And it normally requires a few pool noodles to get a tight install with proper recline. It also despite what the manual says should NEVER be used as a booster seat. It makes a terrible booster seat. It puts the lap belt over the tummy where it should be across the upper thighs. In my professional opinion this seat sucks.

We love everything about this seat!!! We actually had a much older model from one of the older kids so I didn't think twice about buying it.... My only complaint is that were his feet rub on the fabric, the fabric has gotten very pilly from his socks.... Other than that, we love it!!!

I bought this car seat with 2-3 day shipping and it arrived the next day. I put it into the car and it fits amazing and she will have room to grow. My Daughter is 9 months and 18 pounds. This will easily last her until toddlerhood. Some have complained about the armrest and it pinching their childs skin but I left mine up and its not a problem at all. The color is true to picture and the cup holder is sturdy. It has 3 recline positions so I would feel comfortable using this even as an infant. Actually I wish I had instead of using an infant carrier and then this. This is a great product. The pillow at the top is detachable so if doesn't work for your child no problem, it has an infant insert that can be taken out as well.

Happy with the car seat. Seems comfortable. Just like any other seat,it's a pain to tighten down to my standards even when using these new tethers. One thing I would change would be when faced rearward, I would like to see the seat be able to recline one or two more notches, due to my son always tilting his head forward when he is really tired. Otherwise when he is his normal tired he doesn't tilt forward.
