Cheap Cybex Aton Infant Car Seat - Coffee

Cybex Aton Infant Car Seat - Coffee

we bought this car seat after a lot of research on safety. European safety tests require all car seats to pass side impact crash tests unlike American tests. Even Consumers Reports will only test the required standards and not do the side impact tests. So, we found out that many of the very popular American brands that score well here failed on side impact in Europe even though they are advertised as having great side impact solutions! The problem often is, that the frames break because they don't absorb the impact properly. Also, keep in mind that a simple cushion around the head may look great and safe but will not stop a car hitting the side of your child's seat.

Another great thing about this car seat is the super easy installation and fit. We drive rather small cars for American standards (Volkswagen Jetta) and the seat fits great. Both of us are tall and despite the seat being installed right behind the driver's seat we still have all the leg room we can wish for (my husband is 6ft2in with long legs). I also love the weight of the seat. It is one of the lightest car seats out there which is great because this seat does get carried a lot.

By the way European tests also look at the fabrics used in car seats, strollers etc. This one is safe for the baby. Some of the fabrics in other car seats are not and contain chemicals that you don't want your little one to touch with either skin or mouth.

The Autom car seat is easy to use, and fairly easy to install base. Once base is installed it doesn't move making it very secure. The belt restraints on the seat itself I find I have to actually reach behind the seat and manually pull to loosen the straps or tighten, due to the metal plate on the back getting caught on a plastic ridge in back. The sun visor/hood is useless. Not near large enough to actually shade the child, and when I do use it it falls apart.

I gave it three stars because it is very easy to secure and remove from base. It has the ability to be secured without the base in other vehicles which makes travel easy. I am greatly dissapointed in the quality of the canopy. And it is frustrated at the fact I have to manually adjust the straps.

I liked how large and plush this seat is, and indeed I think my (tall) infant daughter has fit in it for longer than she would have in some of those smaller seats, and she is quite comfortable and happy to go in the seat. It also rocks nicely when down.

The base is super easy to install, especially with the LATCH system, so that is a plus.

However, for the price of the seat we were shocked at the stupid canopy. It is a ridiculous design. It fell apart right way and I've kind of sewn/tied it back on but it is pretty much useless.

I probably should have just bought a more standard seat that could be used with a more standard stroller system instead of spending so much on this.

Honest reviews on Cybex Aton Infant Car Seat - Coffee

I like the seat, my daughter seems comfortable in it. The base is very easy to install, especially if the latchkey system is used. The carrier clicks into the base easily, and comes out with a tip back motion and then an upward lift. That might be a little strange if your car is particularly tall I have noticed that it is difficult to remove from my Mom's van. I like how easy it is to adjust the straps on the seat. However, the canopy is useless, especially when it is up and you cannot fit your arm through the handle to carry the seat (poor, poor design). I am glad that I got brown because the cover is very difficult to reattach after washing it. As a matter of fact, on my first Aton I removed the cover to wash it and it never went back on correctly around the area where the child's feet sit. I am lucky because an airline damaged the seat and I got a brand new one. Now I am scared to take this cover off to wash it. It does not click into the cart basket at the grocery store like other seats do. I found this most annoying. Overall it is an OK seat. Knowing what I know now, I probably would not have spent this much money on a car seat.

When the seat cover arrived, I opened up the package, and the the seat cover has a different design then what is pictured on the box. It is also very cheaply made, and you can see through it. The fabric was very thin, I was afraid I was going to rip it while putting it on my car seat. When I got the seat cover on, it didn't fit properly. None of the holes lined up with the straps, which affected the way the straps buckled, which affected the safety of my car seat. This is a VERY dangerous product. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

My grandson loves this; but it is too snug. Easily cleaned or wiped down. Fits snug over the toddler seat but doesn't line up just right with the seat belts & ends up too tight on him. Because he loved it at first sight, his mom decided to cut it for a better fit.

I didnt like this product at all it didnt fit well in my sons cars seat it was really small and material was not too good this material was like cheap grocery plastic bag

Honest reviews on SpongeBob SquarePants Car Seat Cover

Bought this for my daughter, and she loves it. It is a little snug for her car seat, however it isn't horrible. I can still buckle her in. I didn't think the material was thin at all, if anything, I think that even if it might be thin-feeling to others, that it is super tough. I've had this on the car seat for a couple of weeks now, and my daughter has already been putting it through its paces. Personally, I'm glad I didn't let the other negative reviews hinder me from buying this, my daughter loves it, and no longer fights to sit in her brothers car seat. I would recommend this to others.

We just bought this carseat cover for our son, since he is now in a convertable carseat. It works great. It fit our Graco carseat very good, no problems with that at all. It is universal, so should fit most carseats. It is adorable! It will be very nice to be able to take it off to wash it whenever needed. I highly recommend this to any parent with a convertable carseat!

I just wanted to let everyone know that has a Honda Odyssey that this is the PERFECT size for the table thing between the front seats! I love my 2007 Odyssey but have no idea what they were thinking not giving us a center consoul between the front seats for storage. This products is a great help and keep anything you need next to you from sliding of the "table" there.

I purchased this when I had a ford escape suv with a bench seat in the back. It was meant to go in between two car seats and it worked great but then we got a minivan so now it goes on the floor between the two seats. It works great to keep all the toys, wipes, papers, snacks, kid sunglasses or anything else you need to keep organized in place. My son is always bringing a toy on errands and then they used to end up scattered all over the floor. Now, it's easy to just pop it into this organizer so he can find it next time he is bored and looking for a toy. I also keep wipes in it, so they are easy to find in an emergency. Great buy so your car doesn't seem like it's a big toy box or junk area.

We bought this for a long road trip and were disappointed at how little it held. We have 3 kids in car seats, so we were hoping to use it for a floor organizer for toys and drinks. We ended up using a diaper box full of the kids toys and we used this in the front on the floor between the 2 seats to organize/store our DVDs and CDs instead.

We have found this much more useful as a small car organizer to leave in the car all the time to organize toys that the kids play with on shorter trips around town. If you have a LOT of things to organize, this will probably not be big enough to fit your needs.

Honest reviews on Sunshine Kids Travel Pal Organizer

I have 7yr old twins and this fits perfectly between them in my Edge. Since we bought DVD headrests the controllers, headphones, movies and games were constantly being shuffled around on the floor. Now they are neatly stacked in the organizer and the kids know where they are, and you know that makes us ALL happy. The side pockets and cup holders are an added bonus. The product seems very well constructed, I can see it lasting a long time. I am very happy with this purchase!

I bought this to go in between my kid's car seats in the backseat. It is very nice for keeping the toys and books that they bring in the car organized. I also like it for trips because I can make sure that they have a couple of snacks, books and drinks that they can reach. It is very difficult for my almost 5 year old to get their sippy cups back into the cup holder and impossible for my 2 1/2 year old to do it. I think this is a well made product.

I have a Chicco Keyfit 30 car seat and this fits perfectly. I bought it for my second baby because we are out and about a lot more than with my first. This is great to keep light out of her face so she can sleep well, protects her from germ floating in the air, and keeps strangers hands from touching her. This is now one if my must have baby items! And the price is great as well...very high quality item!

You may want to get one that has elastic to fit securely around carrier in cold months with newborn. This was perfect for us. We had our little girl in the middle of march. It helps keep people from touching them as well but easy enough to quickly check on them yourself.

My daughter liked the seat she had (Primo Ducka) but really wanted a seat with handles for pooping. This little seat seemed to fit the bill and was cheap enough that I didn't mind buying another seat.

Yes, it "fits" elongated toilets. But there is nothing to keep it from sliding around on the longer toilet seat underneath it no clamps, no pegs, no rubber feet, nothing! Every time my daughter tried to sit down, the seat would slide 4 inches backwards landing her on the pee guard. If I start with the little seat as far back as possible, it's too far for her to get on without help (she's nearly 3!) and once on, her feet don't touch her fairly tall step stool. It needs to be at the front of the toilet seat but it won't stay there. So I have to be with her to hold it in place so she can climb on. Not a problem if you are starting out you need to be with your child but this is a problem if your child knows how to use the potty and wants to express her independence and "do it herself".

Once she is sitting with the seat in the proper place, the biggest complaint starts. This thing collects pee. The little pee guard is pointless. From what I've seen pee guards are needed by some kids, not by others regardless of sex. My daughter needs one a decent one. This one just deflects her pee all over the seat, the floor, her pants, her shoes. In short, a drippy, nasty mess that has to be cleaned every time it is used with extra laundry. I shudder to think of the muck that is accumulating in the foam under the vinyl.

She wanted one with handles. Fine. I've added two simple drawer pull knobs to our Primo Ducka potty seat. She's pleased. This piece of junk went in the trash.

I have no complaints about this. we just started potty training my 18 month old and he loves this. he get SO excited to sit on the potty just so he can use his "cars potty"

i disagree that it slips around. On our toilet (which is nothing fancy) it stays perfectly in place. there is no rubber or anything underneath BUT there is a ring with a lip underneath that fits *perfectly* into our adult toilet sit and holds it in place to keep from slipping.

the handles are great for kids who feel unsure about balancing on the seat and for bowel movements.

I would recommend this to anyone with a little one who loves the cars movie!

Best Deals for Disney Soft Potty Seat

Pretty cheaply made for the price. The cushion always falls out of the frame. The handles aren't adjustable. And the picture on the cushion we got is not the same as the one pictured. It didn't have any fairies on it at alljust flowers. If i would have known there werent fairies on it, I could've bought a plain one for cheaper.

Honest reviews on Disney Soft Potty Seat

Our 2 1/2 year-old son loves Cars (and cars in general). So I thought this was great for when we are starting to potty train him. Well, at least he loved Cars, so he liked it just because it was Cars. So he really never complained about his seat. But this toilet seat keeps sliding around the adult toilet that we always had to help him get on it, even though he's tried to get on it on his own. It's just so difficult for him. The pee guard is definitely useless. It gets the pee all over the seat but inside the toilet... oh and on his legs, too. It's pretty annoying. The only thing I probably like about it is that it's easy to switch around toilets (if you have bathrooms upstairs and downstairs).

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I should start off by telling you that I've never met a travel system that I love. There's always something about the set that I seriously dislike. My typical complaint is that the stroller is too heavy and bulky. In the case of this travel system the stroller weight is certainly a concern. Graco calls this a lightweight jogger weighing in at 30 pounds. 30 pounds is not lightweight, but we're looking at a jogging stroller here so you can't expect it to be a 16 pound stroller. So maybe for a jogging stroller this is, in fact, "light" but this isn't a stroller that any mom of a newborn is going to want to be lifting in and out of the back of the minivan.

As far as putting the carseat and stroller together as a travel system, the two snap together with no issues. Releasing the carseat from the stroller is as simple as taking it out of the car seat base in your car. Just pull the red lever on the back of the seat and lift the seat upwards. It's a breeze, but most travel systems (with the exception of the Britax B-Safe/B-Agile combo) are.

When looking at travel systems I like to look at the stroller and the carseat individually. So I'll take a look at the car seat first and then I'll talk about the jogging stroller.

The Snug Ride Click Connect 35 seat really impressed me. Two years ago when we were in the market for a new travel system I was very disappointed in the quality of the Graco Snug Ride infant carriers. We had used a Snug Ride with our two older children and we loved the seat. When it came time to buy a new one for our youngest I was unimpressed by the poor quality of the Graco seats. The handles were flimsy and the seat covers were thin and not as nicely padded as they used to be. So two years ago we chose Chicco over Graco. It seems like Graco stepped up the quality over the past couple of years. The handle on this seat is just as nice as they used to be 11 years ago. In fact, I think the handle is just as nice and comfortable to carry as the Chicco Key Fit. The padding for the seat is good. It's not as cushy as the Key Fit, but it's comparable to the Britax B-Safe. The Graco seat has the added advantage of holding a child up to 35lbs. Our Key Fit is only for infants up to 22lbs and was outgrown a while ago. My 18 month old (20lbs 31 inches) fits in this Graco infant carrier with room to grow. So if you're looking for a seat that will have some longevity, this one will work.

The seat is light. It weighs in at 7 ½ lbs which is significantly lighter than our Key Fit and B-Safe infant carriers. That makes a big difference in how long you can carry your child around in the seat. I wouldn't want to have to carry my 18 month old around in this seat, but I was able to carry her when we tested it out.

Installing the base was relatively easy. It's not as easy as installing the Chicco Key Fit base, but it's a lot easier than fighting with the Britax B-Agile base which is a pain in the rear. My biggest complaint about the base for this seat is there is only one level indicator. If you are installing this seat on the driver's side of the car you will not be able to see the level. I prefer to have a level indicator on both sides to eliminate any confusion. Britax and Chicco both have two level indicators on their car seat bases.

Overall, the infant carrier is decent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Now we can turn our focus to the jogging stroller. If you are unfamiliar with the nature of jogging strollers let me warn you that they're big, they're bulky and they're heavy. This one at 30lbs is called "light weight" by the manufacturer. I have double strollers that weigh less than this. If you have a car with a small trunk, this stroller will probably take up the entire trunk provided that it fits. In the back of my minivan this stroller takes up a decent portion of the cargo area.

The stroller offers a smooth ride. There is plenty of room for you to run behind this stroller without having to worry that you're going to kick the stroller as you run. The stroller has a nice parent tray. There are two cup holders, a storage compartment and a smartphone holder. My iPhone 4s fit nicely in the phone holder. It didn't move at all while I took it out for a test drive.

The seat back has four fixed positions. The reclining mechanism is the kind that utilizes a squeeze lever to lower the seatback. I like this sort of recline far better than those horrible infinite reclining seatbacks. The upholstery on the seat is nicely padded. My daughter seemed very comfortable riding in the stroller. The harness was easy to adjust. My only complaint with the harness is the shoulder straps detach from the main belt a little too easily when you unbuckle the harness. I'd prefer it to stay together so I don't have to piece it back together and then wrestle my toddler into the harness.

The child tray for the stroller is one that will swing out of the way for easy loading. You can open the tray from either side. The tray offers two cup holders and a snack area to keep little ones happy.

The brakes for the stroller are easy to engage and disengage. The stroller has a brake for each of the rear wheels. I'd actually prefer to see a single brake for this stroller.

The stroller has what they call a one second fold. You simply pull the pull strap that is located on the seat and the stroller will fold up. I found that I had to manipulate the stroller a bit to get it to latch, which I found annoying. The folding mechanism is similar to that of the Britax B-Agile and that stroller latches once folded with no issues. I am a bit concerned about the seeming lack of a safety for the folding mechanism. There's no button to push before you pull the strap. (On the Britax B-Agile you push a little button on the side and then pull the strap to fold it. I suspect that this prevents an accidental folding.) So I do wonder if it's possible for the stroller to fold if a curious child were to pull the strap while in the stroller. Because of the weight, and the difficulty I experienced in getting the stroller to latch shut, I don't folding this while holding a baby is a reasonable expectation.

The stroller is decent, but I'd caution parents to consider whether they really "need" a jogging stroller travel system. If you're hoping for this to be your only stroller, then you may want to look for something more compact. If, however, you see yourself doing more jogging than say shopping, then this might be the travel system for you. Just bear in mind that this stroller is huge. It feels like a chariot. As a jogging stroller along (not part of the travel system), I would highly recommend the stroller.

Overall, I'd recommend each of the pieces in this travel system, but it wouldn't be my top pick for a travel system.

I am comparing the Graco FastAction Jogging Travel System vs. the BOB Revolution SE*

*I chose to compare against the BOB Revolution, as opposed to other the other BOB models, because we wanted the option of fixed wheel and swivel wheel.

I did a lot of research on the best jogging stroller and had narrowed it down to these two. We're currently expecting our first child, and will update this review after we've met our little one, so this review is only based on research. I am a light jogger and my partner runs 30+ miles per week. As we are only purchasing one stroller, we wanted our main stroller to be a jogging stroller. We made our decision and purchased the Graco FastAction Jogger Travel System. While price wasn't a huge factor, we do appreciate the overall value of the Graco system.

Graco

Dimensions: L: 40", W: 24", H: 42"

Folded Dimensions: L: 39", W: 23.6", H: 15.3"

Weight: 30lbs

Weight capacity: 50lbs

One-step folding

BOB

Dimensions (swivel mode): L: 46" W: 25.5" H: 40"

Folded Dimensions (swivel mode): L: 39", W: 25.5", H: 16"

Weight: 25lbs

Weight capacity: 70lbs (although most children will outgrow before reaching 70lbs)

Two-step folding

Why the Graco wins

We tested a few different strollers in store, and only looked at strollers with inflatable wheels, suspension, and specifically marked for jogging. I'm 5'8" and my partner is 6'0" and the Graco is a little more comfortable for us height-wise. If you are on the shorter side--say 5'4" and under--and a heavy jogger, you may prefer the BOB. If you are 5'10" or over, I'd recommend the Graco. At 5'8" I could go either way, but did find the Graco slightly more comfortable. Of course, if you can go to your local Babies R Us and try out the models yourself, that's best. The handlebar height is 40" on the BOB and 42" on the Graco. Neither are adjustable.

I liked the folding on the Graco better, as it's easier to be folded with one hand. The kickstand on the stroller to stand up while folded is a nice touch.

Included accessories: The Graco includes the parent's console--awesome, with the two rigid plastic cup holders, smartphone holder, and hidden compartment. Smartphones with 5in+ screens do not fit in the smartphone holder, but our iPhone 4s with rubber cases fit fine, and I've heard a naked iPhone 5 fits fine, while a case on an iPhone 5 may or may not work. But larger smartphones will fit in the hidden compartment. The child's tray, and wheel reflectors are also included. All of these must be purchased separately with the BOB and the parent's console is mesh on the BOB, which I didn't like as it didn't feel as sturdy. Additionally with the BOB, you have to buy the car seat adapter. And, the car seat!

I won't do a long review of the car seat, but the quality is important to us, and we feel the quality is on par or better than if we were to have bought the car seat separately. Besides the high safety ratings, we like that it is light, rated to hold an infant 4-35lbs., rear-facing, included infant insert, and is LATCH compatible.

Tie

Durability: I think the Graco is on par with durability with the BOB. Both have a metal frame and look they they can take a beating and certainly make it through infant to toddler, and another child. Contrary to the positive reviews I'd read about BOB fabric and canopy materials, I wasn't impressed, and felt the Graco fabric choices were higher quality. The BOB fabric looks like it will fade easily, and when looking at used BOBs on Craigslist, I noticed several noted a faded canopy.

Both strollers have the safety features of foot brake, wrist strap, and peakaboo window on top of canopy. Both canopy coverage was similar. Both strollers lack handle-bar brake.

Why the BOB wins

Suspension: The BOB does have better suspension, coil spring and elastomer core shock absorbers provide three inches of wheel travel. Adjustable shock release knobs allow for two shock positions to fine-tune suspension for varying occupants and cargo. This really made me lean towards the BOB at first, but we're not really trail runners and all of our running is done on level pavement. While we plan to take the stroller onto trails and beaches, we didn't think the suspension and shocks were as valuable there, given the other lacking features. But, if you are a trail runner or regularly run on uneven surfaces, this might make the BOB worth it.

Cost difference (online prices)

Graco system with carseat and attachments included: $300

BOB: $330 +carseat($150) +carseat attachment($55) +parent console($25) +child's tray($25) +tire reflectors($5) = $590

The Graco stroller comes in the following colors: RoadRunner (black/gray), Chili Red, Piazza (green), Grapeade (purple), Tangerine (orange), and Tidalwave (teal)

All are black or gray based with the color accent acting as kind of a "racing stripe," vroom!

Tip: For the carseat, if you do want the foot bootie (aka foot warmer or fabric boot) for your little one's tootsies, you can go to Graco Baby's website and find the SnugRide ClickConnect 35, find the color you like, get the product number of the item, and the fabric boot is available for purchase under the Replacement Parts section of the website for $13. Or you can call Graco and they'll do the order over the phone. While I couldn't find a bootie that matched the Chili Red, there is a bootie in black with white piping (called Lyric) that looks like a good match. Of course, color availability may change over time, so you might be better off making a phone call and asking.

Hope this helps with your purchase. Feel free to ask any questions about the Graco and I'll try to answer them. We're very pleased with our decision to get the Graco. Can't wait to meet our little guy and put this sucker to use!

Best Deals for Graco Fast Action Jogger Travel System - Chili Red

I had never had a jogging stroller before I received this one from Graco to try out with my daughter. I was really impressed by this stroller. When walking/jogging with it it really does glide on the ground. I think this is attributed to the air filled tires rather than the regular plastic ones on many other strollers. My daughter is almost 3 and doesn't really like being in a stroller but she enjoys being in this one. It puts her higher up and she has more room than in a regular stroller. It also has a tray with 2 cup holders for her and then 2 cup holders for me! The smart phone holder is great too (although a phone w/ an otterbox does not fit 100% FYI). I look forward to using this stroller more around the neighborhood. If we bring it along with us anywhere, the one handed folding action is great it really does work in just a second and with one hand only!! Impressive!

Honest reviews on Graco Fast Action Jogger Travel System - Chili Red

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program We have many baby products, including a couple from Graco, and have generally been very happy with them. This jogging stroller car seat combo is definitely a very good and economical product. Here are a few of my general observations.

**** Stroller ****

This is a very good stroller that looks and feels pretty sturdy. I've seen some other jogging strollers that seem a bit sturdier than this one (B.O.B. stroller for instance), but they tend to be heavier as well.

**** Storage ****

This is one of this stroller's biggest advantages over many of its competitors. The storage is truly huge you can put a diaper bag as well as several other items easily. This is one of those things that you don't think about before becoming a parent, but once you start going with your baby everywhere it becomes a basic necessity.

**** Maneuverability ****

Like most jogging strollers, this one is designed with maneuverability in mind. Large wheels with inflatable tires (as opposed to the plastic kinds you find in most low-end strollers) make pushing the stroller so much easier and more fun. Yes, it's still a bulky thing to wheel around (especially with the car seat and perhaps some stuff in the storage compartment), but at least you don' have to deal with small rigid wheels that are hard to turn.

**** Transportation ****

At 30 pounds this is not exactly the lightest stroller that you will come across, but for a jogging stroller it's not bad. The stroller is relatively easy to collapse and setup out of the trunk. However, if you plan on going in and out of the car frequently (several times a day for instance) then it could get tiring. For a single stroll or a jog a day it is more than adequate though.

**** Car Seat ****

The car seat is very impressive, much so than I would have imagined from a relatively inexpensive "combo" system. It's sturdy, well made and easy to install. The cushioning is soft and durable, and our infant seems to be very comfortable in it. It's not too heavy at least no more so than any other comparable car seat. The car seat also fits very easily and snugly with the stroller, and it's straightforward to put it in and take it out.

****Conclusion ****

Garco is a great brand of baby products, and if you trust their name then you will probably be happy with this combo system that will save you some money. We've been really happy with it so far, and would recommend it to all parents of the little ones.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have been using the very popular Baby Jogger City Mini, and I can honestly say that the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger is a much better stroller.

Why?

One Answer: STORAGE. The understroller basket on the Graco is large. As large as on the bugaboo and almost as large as the UppaBaby Vista two strollers known for their storage. The storage under the City Mini is practically non existant, and is certainly very difficult to get to.

On the Graco, you can store a diaper bag and a couple of shopping bags in the storage basket. On the City Mini you can store a rain cover and a lunch box. There's just no comparison. And if you've been a mom or dad with a stroller before, you know this is super important. If you haven't been there yet, ask a parent how important the under stroller storage is. It's HUGE if you ever have to do anything with your baby like shop. Or go to the Zoo. Or walk around the block and hope you have a diaper and a toy and a wipe and your purse and .... man, babies need a LOT of things. Transporting a baby needs to also be about transporting the baby's stuff.

Other comparisons

Size: The Graco is taller than the City Mini, but the width of the back wheels is exactly the same. This width is what makes a stroller "big" if you're trying to navigate aisles in a store or on a city sidewalk.

Fold: The mechanism is exactly the same and super easy/quick. Big selling point.

Everything else is pretty much similar and not the focus of my review. The storage basket is a very very big deal. The only reason the City Mini wasn't a good alternative to the expensive strollers (Uppababy and Bugaboo) is because of the storage. With the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger, you really don't need any other stroller. This is truly the all-in-one.

This stroller replaces up to 3 strollers. Seriously.

1. Your snap-n-go the thing you use when you really need the carseat but don't want to be carrying a carseat around your arm: Because it has the Click Connect for the carseat

2. Your big bulky stroller The thing that you use when you don't have to worry about folding it.: Because it's tall and has a good recline and AMAZING storage.

3. Your umbrella stroller the thing you use when you really just need convenience., because it folds just as easily

Awesome, Awesome stroller. Don't let the price fool you.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program With our two older children, we used the Graco booster seats with the back on them. While the price on them was right, the fabric was a bit scratchy and the backs came off the seat real easily when moving it around from vehicle to vehicle.

We obtained The First Years Compass Pathway B570 booster seat and plopped it in the van for our 3rd child.

When I first opened the box, I was a bit confused at all the adjustment points on the seat and how they worked. A quick glance in the manual and I was ready to place it in the minivan.

It goes in like any booster seat. However, this model has the LATCH connectors as well which prevents the seat from flying around in the event of a car accident and there is no child in the seat.

The booster seat has two snack cups that fit into the cup holders on each side of the seat. The cups come out with a half turn. Most toddler and covered cups fit into the snack cups, which is quite nice as the snack cups add height and help prevent cups from flying everywhere during a hard turn or a sudden stop.

Another nice feature is that the arm rests fold up. This is probably a trivial feature for the child, but it sure can help if you are lifting a child into the seat from an awkward angle.

In my opinion, the pros for the seat are: the latch system to secure the seat when not in use, the seat is nicely padded compared to the cheaper Graco boosters, the fabric is soft, the snack cups help keep drinks from flying everywhere, the seat is designed so that fabric covers the entire back of the seat no matter how high the back is adjusted, and with a quick adjustment, the seat fit from my youngest to oldest child really well.

There are some cons to the seat. If the child falls asleep, the design of the head rest does not seem to support the child's head well at all (my child's head keeps falling forward, something that did not happen with the Graco seats) and the seatbelt guides really seem to cling to the seatbelt when you are trying to buckle the child, making fastening the seatbelt kind of difficult.

Overall, I thought this was a very nice booster seat. Fortunately, I have not had to put any car or booster seat through the ultimate test of a car accident, so I can not comment on how it performs when it matters most. While there are some excellent features, the fact that a child's head is not supported well when sleeping and it is difficult to buckle compared to the Graco Booster seats are a real turn off for me.

The kids do like the seat, so it has their seal of approval. Personally, while I think it is an excellent seat, I am not sure the value for the money spent is all that great.

Update #1: As anyone with kids knows, it is inevitable that a child will make a mess in their seat of some sort. Well, after the contents of my daughter's cup leaked all over this booster, I learned two valuable things.

First, I had to dismantle the fabric/padding on the seat and I put it in a front load washing machine on the delicate cycle for the shortest duration possible. I pulled the pieces out of the washer and hung them to dry for a few days. When I reassembled the seat, I found that all the padding compressed to the front of the lower seating section. Maybe I washed it wrong (I can honestly say I didn't pull out the manual to read the directions on how to launder the seat), but I was quite disappointed in this. I guess the next step is to rewash and put it in the dryer with tennis balls.

Second, the seat has drain holes in the bottom. If you spill something on the booster seat, it is going to leak all over your car seat. Other seats I have had (either by accident or by design) had little areas that captured liquid. Not a big deal, but I was a bit shocked to see a puddle on my car upholstery.

We have 3 of these seats in our car...actually, two of them are older versions and one is the 570. We have had them for years and all of our 4 children have used them. Yeah, now we are down to 3 car seats!

I had to write today as we were in a collision yesterday. The seats preformed beautifully in the worst situation -a wreck. The 570 has a different shoulder latch system than the older versions & at first I didn't like them as they are a bit difficult to get used to. However, after yesterday, I'm so thankful that the shoulder straps in all 3 car seats work as designed.

We purchased all 4 compass boosters from Amazon too -the best prices at the time. I also have the carrying case and have traveled with it numerous times!

Thanks COMPASS!

I love this booster. My son loves this booster. His grandparents love this booster.

I can't say enough about it.

It folds up nicely when I need to move it or when I need space in the back seat and my son is not with me. It fits in the truck and doesn't take up much room at all. It moves from one car to another very easily. I love that it has the LATCH straps to keep it where it belongs when my son is not in the car.

My 4 year old son loves it because he can buckle himself in by himself like a big kid.

The cup holders are wonderful. They are deep and can hold most size drinks. It holds a bottled water nicely and they are deep enough that I don't have to worry about the drink falling over if I happen to brake too hard or quickly. They also hold his little cars or Transformers when he gets out. I usually tell him to put his little trash in one too. Then all I have to do is take the cup out, dump it and give it a quick wash.

I love how this seat adjusts. It adjusts easily to his height and it reclines to the position of the seat. This is a nice feature because different vehicles have different settings for their back seats.

I was a little skeptical when I first ordered this seat because a lot of reviews were saying that they didn't think the seat would be deep enough. I found that it fits my son nicely. He is tall for his age and has long legs, but the seat is just fine for him and I don't see any problems as he keeps growing.

Honest reviews on The First Years Compass Pathway B570 Adjustable Booster Seat

We first bought a much cheaper booster, however, it did not fit in our car nor the grandparents' car (which have bucket seats). We were limited to boosters with a narrow base. Although this cost three times more than our original purchase, we got what we paid for! Furthermore, it's worth our child's safety for years to come. This booster is so solid and high quality. It fits so well in all of our cars, especially with the adjustable belt path. We love the latch system, which First Years made so easy to use. You just push a button to open the hook and latch it into the chair. No more squeezing a hook with fingers into a seat! It's great not to worry about strapping in an empty seat after dropping off my child at school. It's a breeze to transfer the booster from one car to another. The folding feature was an extra perk, since we will be checking it in at the airport. The side head rest did it's job holding up our boy's head when he fell asleep. He really enjoys his big boy seat!

Update: After using this for 6 months, we still love this booster. It looks great. I've washed it once, and had no problems (I washed on hand wash cycle and hung dry). It's so easy to move from one car to another, that it never bothers me now when my son wants to ride in his daddy's car or another relative's car. It was so much trouble to transfer the convertible car seat. It has fit in a Mazda 5, 4-door sedans, minivans, and SUV's even next to other car seats in a back row. We've also traveled with it. We checked it in the airport for a vacation, and it fit nicely in a regular car seat travel bag. It's so convenient for travel! I can't wait until my younger son is big enough to be in his own Bumble Bee!

I bought this product for my 5 year old son about 7 months ago and so far I like it. Its very light and easy to move from one vehicle to another. Very easy to install. We've gotten several compliments on the appearance of the car seat. The seat belt gets twisted around once in a while but is easily fixed. My son can buckle himself in 99% of the time. A big plus for me was that it has LATCH. I really wanted a booster that had it, I just felt it would be more secure and the seat wouldnt move around while empty. My son really likes his big boy chair. I was worried that his head would flop around when he fell asleep in it but so far we havnt had that problem.
