My grandson was born with a club foot and has had to wear a brace since he was an infant. The bar between his special little shoes is made of steel and we were always getting bruises from it. And it hurts! Also he would bang it against the crib and mommy got smashed fingers more than once! We were looking for something to cover the bar for safety but not look tacky. This is perfect. It has very nice padding and fits perfectly. We just wrap it around the bar and close it with the Velcro closure. He even likes to put his legs up and play with the little tags. (We took the toy off.) When we go to the Children's Hospital for adjustments the other babies' parents notice it and ask us about it. It's amazing how a little thing like this can make life a little better for a worried parent. It's easy to care for too. Just toss it in the wash! We ALWAYS have this on his bar. No more bruises!

We don't have that many bugs in Arizona. But it sure does work well at keeping well meaning strangers from putting their hands all over your baby. I can still see him and he can still see out pretty easily. I have a Chicco keyfit that it works perfectly with. It's got elastic around the bottom so I would imagine that it would work with almost all infant carriers.

We purchased this for our Graco Snugride 35 (hoping it would fit). Our little one was born during cold and flu season...but going to church and social activities are difficult to keep well meaning sick people at bay. We bought the Bug Shield to put over the car seat so strangers and acquaintances could admire from a safe distance. It is especially nice to keep little kids' hands off our baby's face and fingers. The bug shield works great for us. The elastic and netting is of a good quality. Best of all, it works great for our carseat...even though its not a maxi cosi car seat.

Hope this helps someone else who wants to keep their infants safe and healthy, while still socializing and fellowshiping.

We have a Graco Snugride 35 and this bug shield fits perfectly. I like that there is a cut-out in the netting (about 4-5 inches with a flap) so that you can grip the handle of the car seat without having to remove the netting. There is a flap of netting that can be placed over the cut-out when you don't need to pick up the car seat, providing continuous bug shielding. A way to improve this product would be to place velcro on the movable flap to provide a better seal. Overall, a great purchase that we use alot.

Honest reviews on Maxi-Cosi Infant Car Seat Bug Shield

Our pediatrician recommended purchasing one of these for our newborn to prevent people from sticking their hands into her car seat and sharing their germs, so I can't attest to its ability to keep bugs away, but I can say it fits our Maxi Cosi Mico perfectly, the material is high quality mesh, and it has a nice handle opening so you can still carry it easily. It has served our purposes well! We just keep it in the diaper bag to have it ready whenever we might find it helpful.
