Graco, and other car seat manufacturers, do not allow the use of ANY after-market products with their seats. Using this cover will automatically void the warranty on your seat. Why? Because it is not safe. The extra plush minky material will compact in the event of a crash, creating extra slack in the harness which prevents it from properly securing your child. Also, legally all car seats and covers must be fire-retardant... a car accident is the most likely place your child will encounter flames. This cover would burst into flames if exposed to even a small fire, the rules are in place for a reasonto protect the child riding in the seat. Please, no matter how cute it is, DO NOT use after-market covers with your car seat!!!!!!

Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat Cover Review
I found this car seat cover while looking through pages and pages of baby stuff on Amazon. I have a Graco snugride car seat and base that some friends of ours had given us. They had a little boy. Not long after we found out we were going to have a little girl. I hated the rough blue cover that came with the car seat so the seach began. I found this one and I thought to myself it is kind of pricey what if it doesnt work that well. We are stationed in England currently and have to have a UK car seat. Secret is that there is really no difference between an American Graco snugride and a British except for a sticker. So I put this on my registry and sure enough my mother bought it for me. I was so excited. We got it home and I ripped it out of the box and began remodeling my car seat. It works! I love the way it looks. It is just like in the picture too cute and the fabric is much softer than the old one. There is one thing, down at the bottom where the car seat tucks under it is a little less tight than the old one. It wont slip off though just a little more wiggle room. I love this cover and would tell anyone who is thinking of getting it to go for it.

I bought this stroller because I needed something smaller than my full size stroller and I didn't want to go for the classic umbrella stroller. I do like how light it is. I like that it comes in a "girl" color. It does recline about half way back easily and sits up easily. The only strollers I found about this small that do lie nearly flat were about $100+ more. I like that it has a tray. I like how I can put my 13 month old (who is in the 98 percentile for height and weight) without removing the tray. FYIThe tray is removable. The tray does sit up a little high though. Not an issue for me. I like the larger canopy. I like that the back above the seat to the canopy is mesh and is attached. My previous stroller was just a hanging piece of fabric like a curtain. It has a small storage basket. Handy for small diaper bag or purse. It also has a little Velcro pocket on the side too. I like that it does have a parent tray but both trays do have too small of a drink holder. The stroller pushes easily with one hand and is smooth. I'm 5'7" and I think it is at an ok height. The push handle is not adjustable. It doesn't have a 5 point harness. Personally I didn't want a 5 point harness but it might be an issue for some. You will have to buckle every time because a 2 year old can slide out under the tray easily because of the large opening. It stands up right when folded. It does fold easily for someone who doesn't have any type of arthritis. It seems sturdy. We have been a bit rough with it without problems. Really the only thing I don't like about it is the tray drink holders are too small for 20oz soda/water bottle. It will only hold the 16.7 oz or smaller bottles. It won't hold any of the sippy cups we have. My 13 month old is really tall (think 2 year old) so I'm not sure how long it will last because she only has a few more inches before her head is above the back but to be honest for the price I paid I am not worried about it. Hope my review helps.
My daughter is 4 now and in the top percentile for height (daddy is a bit tall), and I wanted to search for another light stroller that fit her comfortably. About 41" tall and just under 40 lbs. Tall and skinny.
Here is a history of all the strollers we've gone through and what I like/don't like about them:
Bob revolution jogging stroller (blue/brown): Great turning, easy to push, easy to collapse, a bit heavy for me to put into the trunk, had to spend extra money on cup holder and car seat adapter. Our daughter didn't like sitting in it unless I was on a long walk as it was a bit too reclined for her and didn't have a snack tray built in. The snack tray came with the car seat adapter but the screws kept coming loose. I liked this stroller for walking/exercise but my daughter didn't like sitting in it.
Graco travel system (Betsy): Sturdy stroller but we mostly bought it for the car seat. The snack tray just swings away which was a nice feature as it always stayed attached to the stroller. Ample storage underneath and the parent cup caddy was perfect. Took up a lot of space in the trunk. Heavier than I was comfortable with lifting into trunk. Was great for walking over tile and sidewalks but the wheels got worn pretty well when on asphalt or other surfaces. I really liked the size (roomy for my daughter) and features but not the weight and size when folded. (We moved and I sold it on CL)
Cosco lightweight stroller: Bought off craigslist and pretty much exactly like the Jeep Siren but SMALLER. My 4 year old daughter barely fit her hips and her legs were too long to put the snack tray on while her feet were on the foot rest. I think it would have been a great stroller if she was 2 or younger. (Bought when we arrived at new city)
Evenflo travel system: I bought this for my parents off craigslist. It was grey with pink covers. Along the same lines as the Graco, it was a good size but bulky when folded and heavy for lifting in the trunk. My mom couldn't get it in the car by herself so we ended up re-selling it for exactly what I got it for. The basket underneath had a tear in it from the previous owners but it did seem flimsier than the Graco. Also the axle needed repair at one point but not too much of an issue.
$20 umbrella stroller from Sears: compact, lightweight, my daughter slouched in it, no snack tray, small canopy for shade, front right wheel wouldn't always adjust when changing directions/turning.
Having gone through all that... I decided to research "LIGHTWEIGHT STROLLERS" this time and when I saw the price and the reviews for this one, I was sold. I did take advisement on the parent caddy being too small for most cups. So when I put it together, I never installed the cup caddy by the push bar. I used the parent caddy I had for my Bob, but the bars are so angled the drinks sat tilted forward a ways. I finally went to target and bought a different console from Diono and it works pretty well.
I was worried because other reviewers said the bottom basket storage was wide open in the front. I am not sure if they updated the model or if those customers just didn't see it, but there are snaps that hold the front of the basket up and closed.
I can finally lift a folded stroller into the car without straining myself. And my tall daughter can sit comfortably.
I really like the see through portion in the hood for checking on her but may bring an extra blankey to cover it if we use it at the farmers market or zoo. Her little snack tray does have a small cup holder but there are cups that will fit fine. Overall great purchase, and if the parent console had bigger cup holders I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
Very happy mama =^.^=
PS. I bought it from Walmart but a lot of the boxes there were tampered with. Same price as Amazon though.

I have been searching for a stroller that has storage but is lightweight. I am 5'0" about 110 lbs, and coming from an asian background that is pretty normal. I had an umbrella stroller from sears that I bought for $20 but got frustrated that it didn't have any space to store items other than hanging bags from the handles. I was fine with it till the front wheels started jamming up.My daughter is 4 now and in the top percentile for height (daddy is a bit tall), and I wanted to search for another light stroller that fit her comfortably. All around good stroller. The adult cup holders on the top need to be a little bigger, no cups I use fit in them. Other than that, I have no complaints. goes together easily, folds up easy, light weight, but seems pretty heavy duty. well worth the cost. would buy again.Honest reviews on Jeep Cherokee Sport Stroller, Siren
I have a jogging stroller that is too big pack around most of the time, so I bought a smaller stroller, it was so flimsy that the back wheels broke within a week. I needed a stroller that was small and compact, but that was sturdy enough to take to Disneyland. This stroller worked great, we packed the basket full of souvenirs and it never off centered or tipped backwards. We have taken this stroller camping and it works great on dirt roads as well. This is our preferred stroller to take on outings.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Jeep Cherokee Sport Stroller, Siren
It is exactly what I needed. I am a BOB enthusiast and took my bob double everywhere when I had twins, then took my bob single everywhere with next child, but have seen what airlines do to nice strollers and wanted something disposable to fly cross-country with. This stroller arrived today and it took me less than five minutes to put wheels and trays on, directions sucked but then they usually do so just use common sense. This steers very, very nicely for a cheap stroller, and it steers easily one-handed which was my top criterion as I'll need to be able to grab two other young kids, roll-aboard suitcase, purse, etc, while running through airport. Shade canopy is clear (so may cover with blanket) but wider than most, so hopefully will provide some sun protection. Fabric is thin/cheap compared to BOBs and other expensive strollers, but there is a reason it's only $50 instead of 5x that. My very tall 22 month old fits nicely with some room to grow (though in the next year her head will probably be up above the seat back, not a problem for us as she won't nap in any stroller, but just be aware if you need something to last a while with a tall child still willing to nap). Basket is totally accessible unlike most strollers. Read complaints re: size of cup holders and have to agree; a skinny plastic disposable water bottle or a soda can will fit perfectly in parents' cup holders, but not any of our stainless steel water bottles, kids' cups, or sippies. None of my kids' cups will fit in kids' cup area. So fairly useless except as a spot to put phone and keys. Pink color is cute. I tried it out all over the house with my daughter in it and now she won't get out, is sitting watching Disney Jr in the stroller with a baby doll in each hand and a big grin on her face, so I'm guessing it is very comfortable. Very pleasantly surprised by the features of this stroller for the price. Will update if it ends up being a dud on our trip.Wednesday, June 18, 2014
Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Car Seat Extra Base Review
In our opinion, Peg Perego infant carriers and bases had the best reputation for safety and quality among our friends and family. We were able to purchase separate bases to install and to keep in our individuals cars so that there was no hassle in installing bases whenever the baby switched cars. It was easy to install and the "click" made us sure that our baby was safe and secure. I highly recommend Peg Perego to my family and friends!

works like a champ, identical to the original base. Needed a second one for the the second car, instead of remebering to swap when taking different cars, or when wife leaves and I forget to get the base, partially stranding me and junior at home.Best Deals for Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Car Seat Extra Base
I bought this to put into my other car. I am glad i bought it but I am really unhappy about the price.Honest reviews on Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Car Seat Extra Base
If you purchase the Peg-Perego Primo Viaggio infant car seat, it comes with one base. I highly recommend purchasing a second if you will be putting your baby in more than one car! We have a total of three or four bases (I've lost count) between my car, my husband's, my mom's, and maybe my dad's. It's very handy to be able to switch the seat from car to car without having the fight with the base every time. While the cost may be a little steep, the base works with all versions of the Primo Viaggio, so when we replaced our car seat for our third baby (five years later) we were able to keep all of our bases for the new car seat. Because of the quality of the car seats and the length of time we've been able to use them, I feel the price (and my children's safety) have been well worth it.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Car Seat Extra Base
This extra base is nice to have if you are going to be transporting baby in more than one car. (Then, you don't have to move the base around, just keep it attached in each car.) I love how it clicks in to my car easily using the LATCH system and adjusts using knob. You can tell it is in the right spot when the arrow is in the green sectionso easy to tell if you have it installed correctly.Friday, March 14, 2014

I bought this carseat at my local Sears store. It's a great carseat, but there was a few problems that I ran into. The extra padding around the base of the seat is great if you have a five or six pound baby, but be aware that it's not attached. It's just set in there for added padding if you want it. I was buying for my 45" 42 lb 3 yr old. The straps come up high enough to fit him comfortably, and grow with him for a while yet. The headrest also comes up high enough to fit him comfortably and support him. The seat itself is small enough on the base that it fit to the seat in my car and didn't hang over and get my son too close to the seat in front of him. However, there are only two crotch straps. The very back and one that would be the middle on other seats. This caused my son to sit on the belt but the buckle was clear and able to be attached.
However, the price was the biggest issue I was having. I mean yes, it's nice seat and yes, it was the right size for my son. However, at my local walmart, they sell a Safety 1st Guide 65 for $70 (and tax) ( Safety 1st Guide 65 Infant Car Seat, Seaport) that is almost identical to this seat. The difference is it has the third placement for the crotch strap (gives my son extra room to grow on his butt) and doesn't come with the quilting look on the light part of the seat. It also comes in three different colors (grey, green, and pink)allowing me to also get one for my daughter to grow into.
Overall, yes this seat is very nice if you are looking for a seat to grow into with a larger child or if you simply want the Eddie Bauer name on it.
My son was a little small for his other convertible car seat (we had to put towels on each side of him so he wouldn't end up sitting akwardly), but we don't have the problem with this seat because of the inserts.
The only downside is that it doesn't recline back so we had to put something under the front so he would be leaning back more. It is a long drive to work and my son fals asleep a lot and if the seat is too upright his head flops forward in an uncomfortable looking position.
Cons:
1. This seat is horrible to install RF. I attempted to install this seat RF in our Ford Edge in the middle seat. Unfortunately after multiple & exhausting attempts I gave up. I can not get a tight fit & proper recline no matter what. I moved the seat to passenger side, and the fit is a bit tighter, but not ideal.
2. The chest clip is cheaply made plastic. I'm fairly certain that I could snap it apart with one hand.
3. The straps are constantly getting twisted and there is no mechanism to prevent this. They also must be rethreaded. This seat does not come with shoulder pads.
4. There is no cover for the buckle & it would be very easy to hurt chubby baby thighs this way. I've caught myself on this multiple times.
5. There is no level bubble, just a bar that is not 100% certainty unless you whip out your own level.
6. The infant inserts are crap. They just sit inside the seat. There is no way to attach them & they are constantly getting bunched & twisted behind my child's back. I eventually took them out.
7. The seat material is horrible. I've only been using it for over a month and the area where my child's shoes hits has already started to pill and snag. It looks awful
Pros
1. Lightweight
2. The head rest adjusts easily
We eventually decided that since this seat was a gift, we would keep it as a spare. However, I am not using this as my primary seat, and have since purchased a RECARO.
Good luck with your carseat research.

I have two of these car seats (one for each car, I live in AK and don't want to switch the seat from car to car in the middle of winter). It is a great car seat. The biggest problem we have had with other car seats, including the infant car seat that my son just grew out of, is that sometimes they only fit rear-facing if the seat in front of it was too far forward for a passenger to sit in it. We don't have that problem with this seat. I have a SUV and a Subaru Imprezza (sedan) and it fits great in both of them. We even got to push the passenger seat back a little bit from when the infant car seat was in it.My son was a little small for his other convertible car seat (we had to put towels on each side of him so he wouldn't end up sitting akwardly), but we don't have the problem with this seat because of the inserts.

I bought this seat after seeing the one I originally wanted was huge!! It looked bigger than me! How could I get it home let alone install it!? I really wanted that one because it had a cup holder and and this one on display didnt until I checked this website. It's not ideal to have it sticking out so far but it's close enough. Installing it was difficult in my car bc it's an older model so I had to use the locking clip. It has good padding and the inserts it comes with are kind of pointless but it doesn't bother me bc my son is 1 now so he doesn't really need it, instead I used it in between a blanket to keep the car seat in position. I think my son likes it. It looks comfy and since we are using it RF it's reclined a lil and he can take a nice nap :) I would recommend this car seat and look up videos on how to properly install car seats. It helps to watch someone then read the instructions bc otherwise you might get frustrated and give up!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Eddie Bauer XRS 65 Infant Car Seat, Archive
I got this seat because I need a more compact seat for my car. It's nice but the cup holder is pointless and the material started pilling up with the first use right where her shoes touch it. Also there is a bit of difficult adjusting the straps. Since the adjuster strap runs under the seat it gets wedged between the seat of the car and the bottom of the car seat. It can be difficult to adjust once the seat is in. This is hard because I like to losen the straps to get her out and trying green them after buckling her in. This is not practical with this seat. I'm keeping it because it fits, but it is certainly not my favorite.Saturday, March 8, 2014

I received the Graco Affix today, assembled, and put in my Buick Enclave middle bucket seat. I love all the features, the built-in cupholder, large headwings for safety and napping, and the LATCH system. I was afraid to purchase this seat because of the negative reviews stating that the LATCH system was not stable. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. I can see how the one side might not stay as tight as the other due to the pulls being directly on top of one another through the same hole, but I pulled on it and it did not come loose. At the most, it would pull out about 5-6 inches which doesn't matter anyway because the seat belt is what secures your child into the seat. The one thing that I would change is I would like the armrests to fold up for buckling. My almost 4-year-old will probably not be able to buckle himself because the base is fairly wide and pushes up against the buckle port, so I will have to do this for him. The base is 16 1/2 inches wide, the same as most of the other boosters I have been looking at, so this would be a problem with any of them. I also own 2 First Years Compass B570's...awesome for safety, but a NIGHTMARE for buckling; and an Evenflo LX Big Kid which is wonderful for my son to buckle independently, but sidewings leave much to be desired. All in all, I think this is my favorite carseat so far, but time will tell. This would be perfect for my 6-year-old that has a little more experience with buckling himself. Very good quality.
I called Graco and the rep was absolutely useless. She just kept telling me the seat could be used without LATCH and that LATCH was only to make it easier for the child to buckle himself in and that the seatbelt is what holds the child in. I kept trying to explain that I knew the seatbelt held the child in, but that the crash dynamics can change when one side comes loose in a crash and the other doesn't and I guarantee Graco hasn't crash tested a seat with LATCH that is not functioning properly. I was very bothered when she went to talk to someone else and came back and sounded out the word "projectile" like it was something she had never heard. My level of faith in Graco and their customer service just went way down.
Happy I tried and to put some fears to rest I decided to write this review. Normally I say follow your OWN best instinct, but it was clear we had some folks that either (1) did something wrong on the install (2) work for one of the high priced latch system companies that are not happy you can get this great seat for 1/3 of the price of theirs!
Rock on.
1) It has a high back for safety, and a seat-belt router under the headrest to keep the belt in a safe position across your child's neck and chest
2) It installs very tightly with the latch system to keep it secure.
3) My child meets the stated requirements of at least 30 pounds and 3 years old, so I know the seat has been safely tested in this range.
We got this seat just in time for our spring trip, which meant that we could travel with a booster instead of a huge, clunky standard car seat.
Loved that we could pop the back off for travel and stow the seat and back together fairly flat in a large travel bag, which we checked through the airport baggage.
Three-year-old loved sitting in the seat and was comfortable. NO complaints about being hot or anything, even in the Florida heat.
Child can take a nap with the high-back booster
Easy to install and remove.
The only thing I wish this seat had, hence the loss of one star, is a between-the-legs lap belt guide/holster like our son's Britax booster has because I feel that it would provide that extra level of seat belt safety keeping kids from internal injuries caused when the belt slides up too high and cuts across their abdomen.
Overall this a great, affordable seat. I highly recommend it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I was a child passenger safety technician for 9 years so I have had experience with tons of different car seats and boosters. I am a big fan of latchable boosters and was very happy to see one come on the market with a lower price point. Unfortunately, this seat has a huge design flaw. The two LATCH attachments each have their own straps to pull to tighten them. They are placed one on top of the other with a single push button to release both. Problem is, the push button doesn't press tight enough to hold both straps tight so the side that runs on the bottom doesn't lock in place. The end result is that when you install the seat and tighten the LATCH attachments, one side stays tight, but if you pull gently on the other side, it will pull away from the vehicle seat about 5 inches. It is essentially the same as installing the booster with only one LATCH anchor, which most of us would never do because it isn't safe. How will this perform in a crash? Who knows? My guess is, when the child and the seat start to move forward (which they will before the seatbelts fully engage), the LATCH on one side will engage causing the seat to pivot toward that side which will put the child completely out of position behind the vehicle seatbelt. Or, it might function fine. Unfortunately, I'm not comfortable letting my child be Graco's crash test dummy.I called Graco and the rep was absolutely useless.
Best Deals for Affix Highback Booster with Latch
I was searching ALL WEEK for just the right booster chairs for my 4 and 5 year old. This would be there first booster seats (girl was older but smaller so I keep here in her car seat all long as it was possible (safe)). So quickly I figured out that almost all the boosters that has a latch were high$. Anyway I read the reviews for this one and here and there you see "latch doesn't work" "latch not safe" and the like. But I pulled the trigger and got one to see for myself. Turns out that is hogwash, they work great. I got 4 seats (a set for the car and the truck). In the truck I told the kids we had to do some "testing"... so I got the boosters installed (easy & simple). And we proceeded to hit all the hills and fast turns (well fast enough to get a few "whooaaas"). Not an ounce of slippage with regards to the seat/latch system.Happy I tried and to put some fears to rest I decided to write this review. Normally I say follow your OWN best instinct, but it was clear we had some folks that either (1) did something wrong on the install (2) work for one of the high priced latch system companies that are not happy you can get this great seat for 1/3 of the price of theirs!
Rock on.

Save the $30 and get the turbo booster by graco. Latch system only works on 1 side. Not worth the extra $. If they fixed that it would be an awesome seat. Mine are going back ASAP!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Affix Highback Booster with Latch
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I was so excited when I saw that this seat not only installs with the latch system, but also can hold a three-year-old child if they meet the requirements (and use the high back portion). Now, before anyone jumps on me, I certainly do know that a standard five-point harness is the safest option for a child. We are also not using this for our everyday seat at this point in time. However, I feel comfortable with this seat for three reasons:1) It has a high back for safety, and a seat-belt router under the headrest to keep the belt in a safe position across your child's neck and chest
2) It installs very tightly with the latch system to keep it secure.
3) My child meets the stated requirements of at least 30 pounds and 3 years old, so I know the seat has been safely tested in this range.

Cheap Peg Perego Convertible Premium Infant to Toddler Car Seat
I hardly write reviews, maybe once before, but I just had to write this one because it was a tough and long ordeal until I found the right convertible car seat for my daughter. I ordered four convertible car seats before I chose the right one. I wish someone had made it as easy as I'm about to make it for you. This is out of pure empathy for all other parents out there searching for the right seat. This is the absolute best convertible car seat and here are the reasons why (btw, my infant is 32inches long and 19lbs:
1. My daughter is very secure and safe in it, the seat does not move around at all and she is completely secure when fastened in
2. Her head NEVER hangs! Big issue with almost every convertable (How do people let their poor baby's heads hang?)
3. She falls asleep in it everytime and never once cried while being in it
4 At 32 inches she still faces backwards
5. Not big and bulky, but made of quality and is very sturdy...MADE IN ITALY not CHINA!!
6. Fabric is quality and thickly cushioned = VERY comfortable
7. Stylish and affordable, yes more expensive then some but very much worth it
8. SIP, protects her but does not block her view to the outside world.
9. Easy to clean! just wipe
Overall my baby is Happy, safe and comfortable in this car seat and you will not be dissapointed.
The previous seats tried and returned (thank God for Amazon!) were:
Maxi Cosi Pria 70
Huge, bulky made in China! My child was absolutely uncomfortable and overwhelmed by the huge wings around her head (SIP). I'm sure she felt closteraphobic because she cried as soon and we buckled her in. I don't know how it was a top mothers choice in so many magazines. I returned it right away. It also made her head lean forward as the back is not flat. How uncomfortable for our poor little ones.
Britax Marathon 70
Made in China! Head hanging issue!! Not to mention the seat belt cut into my daughters legs and she is a petite baby! Plus no matter how we anchored it in the car it moved around a lot. Just did not seem safe. How this seat got so many great reviews, I have no idea but I tried it and returned it asap.
Finally the First Years C670 True Fit
Ok, made in China again although I think it was assembled in the US. NO thanks. It got great Highway safety reviews, but this thing is humungous and is made for those who drive a mini van or a huge SUV. Nice if you want a couch in your back seat. I don't, I have a Kia Sorento.
So there you have it. THank you Peg Perego for making an awesome seat all the way around. Couldn't be happier.
We then ordered this car seat, we didn't have too much to go off of but the reviews were so good we thought we would give it a try. Right when we opened the box we knew this car seat was going to be great.
Pro
-Easy to install, probably one of the easiest I've installed
-Fabric is nice and not hot
-easy to adjust seat to fit my son
-engineered well, everything seems to be in the right place
-Very long straps
-light
-comfortable
Con
-Strap pads are a little big and stiff (we are going to get after market ones that will fit better)
-with the large strap pads it's hard to tell if the straps are tight enough.
-doesn't have a cup holder
-expensive
I'm editing this review to highlight a limitation of the seat. It does not seem to be good for tall babies. You can only use the lowest 7 harness positions for rear facing, and my daughter has been at the top one since about 15 months. I'm not sure how far I can let her shoulders get above the harness slots, but she is basically outgrowing this seat with its 45 lb RFing weight limit when she weighs about 25 lbs. She is longer than most (100th percentile), but I still figured I could RF her till at least 2 without worrying that she was outgrowing the seat. For my daughter, this seat turns out to have not been a good purchase.
After my daughter outgrew her Peg-Perego SIP 30-30 Infant Car Seat I struggled for a while to find an affordable, extended rear-facing car seat. After reading way too many reviews online (as I'm sure you're doing now... just stop, buy the Peg Perego, you won't be sorry) I just said, "whatever" and bought the only available car seat that they had at Costco while I was doing my usual grocery shopping. That car seat was the Safety 1st Alpha Elite Convertible Car Seat. Man that thing sucked. Not only was it way way way too big for my car ('02 Lexus IS300...not tiny, but not too spacious either), it just felt cheap. It looked cheap, it felt cheap, it operated cheaply. Tightening and loosening the straps was a workout, I had to have my passenger seat moved so far up that no normal sized human could sit there, and no matter how tight I got the LATCH straps, it wiggled. I put up with that thing for about a week, while sorting through more reviews on Amazon for a better car seat.
See, I knew from the very beginning that the PP was the way to go... they're just the best. Plain and simple. But I'm also on a budget, and a bit of a penny-pincher and didn't want to pay this much for another car seat, even though my infant PP car seat was a gift. However, a car seat is not the place to be saving money. A car seat is the place to apply the golden rule of, "You get what you pay for." With your child's life on the line, and the obnoxious number of times that you're going to be taking your kid in and out of their car seat (SO many times... probably a million. At least) do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to save a buck.
Oh, and for comparison's sake tightening and loosening the straps to get my daughter in and out of the car seat are like BUTTER. Smooth, creamy, easy to maneuver butter. Lovely. Also, I was able to return my front passenger seat to the comfortable position that it resided in when I was using the infant car seat. I'd pay the big bucks just for those two things, and this car seat goes above and beyond that.
If I had to do it over again I probably would have just bought this seat from the get-go and skipped the SIP 30-30... but at the same time, I loved that seat, and I'm glad that I have it in case baby #2 comes along before baby #1 outgrows the Convertible seat. Either way, everything Peg Perego makes is gold in my eyes.

My wife and I drive a '09 Toyota corolla and we have been trying to find a seat that fit well. Our son still needs to be rear facing so we wanted a car seat that didn't take up too much room. We first bought the Graco my ride 65, this fit in our back seat rear facing but it was not comfortable for our son and was very difficult to install. We then were interested in the Britax marathon 70, we tried it at a local store to see how it fit in our car. It fit really well but we then did more research and found that it was one of the more toxic seats. We also tried the Maxi Cosi 70 it seems nice but was much too big to fit in our car.We then ordered this car seat, we didn't have too much to go off of but the reviews were so good we thought we would give it a try. I bought this for a 12 month old outgrowing her infant seat and have used it for a couple of months. I don't know how it will be with a larger child. It is nicely enclosing for a small child, and the higher base makes it easier for a baby to see out the windows. Both of these benefits could end up being drawbacks with a bigger kid. I like the headwings for comfort and possible increased safety. The cover has the feel of an upholstered seat, rather than just a car seat cover. The harness/headrest adjustment is ridiculously easy, just pull up on a headrest tab, and everything moves up, and there is a pad covering any openings in the back, so there are no temptations for little fingers to dig into the mechanism or seat foam. Installation is also very easy. I switch this car seat to a caregiver's car once a week, and it is just a matter of loosening straps, undoing the latch, and then redoing it. I haven't tried a seat belt install. The crotch strap has two positions, but the padding flap is sewn on, so it is not clear how it would work with the outer strap position. I chose this seat over passing on an old Radian in use by an older child because it seemed cushier and cozier for an infant and better for sleeping in, and, even though it was expensive, I will be OK with moving my child to a dedicated forward facing harnessed seat or a Radian when she is older if this seat isn't working well. I hope that its extra safety features add something, but as we all know, even the least expensive seats pass the same safety tests.I'm editing this review to highlight a limitation of the seat.
