Review of Maxi-Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat
We've been using this seat for a bit over five months now and I love it. Our little dude was born quite premature, and we were finally allowed to bring him home when he hit 5 lb. At that size he would have been almost lost in most of the other car seat we looked at, but the Mico came through like a champ with the infant insert, though we actually ended up supplementing with the Kiddopotamus Snuzzler (link below). I don't consider that a defect, since one size cannot fit everyone and an additional $15 is a small price for baby comfort and parental peace of mind.
PROS:
The seat is very light, which becomes increasingly important as baby becomes heavier;
The base is really heavy, which seems right to me;
The LATCH clips go in easily using a seatbelt requires a little more elbow-grease, but nothing extraordinary;
Materials are high quality we have not noticed any wear or tear;
The seat works great with our Bugaboo Cameleon at present he is too big for the Buagoo's bassinet, but not really big enough for the seat, so he just stays in the Mico car seat, which has now become associated with nap time anyway;
The seat clips easily into the base, with a very apparent "clunk"; and
The deep seat and high, well-padded sides at least appear to give more protection than many other models on the market.
CONS:
There is some tendency for straps to tangle between uses not really more than other car seats, but it does happen; and
If your family has a history of big kids, be aware that you will be out of this seat by 22 lb and 29" there are some other models like the Graco Infant SafeSeat Step 1 which can go bigger if necessary.

What we liked best about the Maxi-Cosi Mico was that it was light weight and attached to the bugaboo stroller with attachments, so we were able to easily move our son from car to stroller without disturbing him. We also received lots of compliments on the look and color.

We received this as a baby shower gift. We have had no major issues with this car seat. It states that the car seat will carry your baby up to 22 lbs. My son is now 6 months old and about 17 lbs, and it is starting to get too small for him when he is bundled up in his winter gear, so we will upgrade to the Maxi-Cosi Priori Convertible soon. We seem happy with the brand.What we liked best about the Maxi-Cosi Mico was that it was light weight and attached to the bugaboo stroller with attachments, so we were able to easily move our son from car to stroller without disturbing him. I am a BIG fan of this seat. I did a lot of research on which seat to buy; for my first kid I got an inherited Graco seat. It worked well, but it reached the six-year max so we had to get rid of it. With this next one, I went to consumer reports and asked everyone I knew why they liked their seat. I will admit, I didn't talk to anyone I knew that picked the Maxi Cosi brand, but I think that is just because they are hard to come by in stores. But this one is WAY lighter and I really like the handle shape. I have read reviews of the "terrible sun shade" but it is honestly just like the one on my last Graco seat. So no complaints here. Most moms I talked to picked their seat because of the seat pattern, and I'll admit, i had a hard time and went with the neutral black. I was worried that it would get really hot, but my husband pointed out that we hardly ever leave it in the car. Anyway, very happy. And this is currently rated #2 in Consumer Reports over the combi seat, but it is because of the "ease of using a shoulder seat belt" over the Combi. I'll take the higher rating in safety anyday.Honest reviews on Maxi-Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat
When our first son was born, we had a Mini Cooper. It turns out, there is exactly one stroller that will fit in the boot of a mini, and that's the Quinny Zapp. And the car seat compatible with the Zapp is the Maxi-Cosi Mico, so that's what we bought. We were pleased by how substantial the Mico was it's solid, but also well-padded , especially around the head area. It's completely true what other reviewers say this carseat is a bit bulky and awkward to carry, especially when your tiny newborn becomes a chunky 5 month old. But in our calculus, the awkwardness was an acceptable price to pay for the additional safety and comfort for our baby. It also does get hot (we live in Georgia) but we haven't found it to be a huge issue. And we have loved the compatibility of the Mico with the Zapp. We're now on kid #2, and while the Mini Cooper is gone, the Mico and the Zapp are still around, and working beautifully with our second son.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Maxi-Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat
I ordered this seat online and read all the reviews, it was perfect for our 2nd child, or so I thought. The seat itself is very nice, very secure and just feels all around safe. However, the base is very long, and has a hard time fitting right in the back seat of my SUV where the Graco one we had previously fit perfectly. The biggest issue is that this seat has a hard time latching to the base. It's impossible to hook it in a hurry. You have to make sure it goes in JUST RIGHT to get it to lock. My husband hates it and insists that I didn't read any reviews before I purchased it and we get into an argument about it nearly everytime we he uses it. I suggest buying a different seat!!Sunday, December 1, 2013
JJ Cole Arctic Bundle Me Review
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $89.95
Sale Price: $84.76

I live in Utah and am active in the outdoors all year-round. My husband and I will frequently use the Arctic BundleMe in our BOB jogging stroller when we run and when we pull our baby behind us during snowshoeing excursions. Our baby is so warm and snuggly inside. More often than not, she falls asleep inside.
When going to the JJ Cole website when this first came out, I didn't find specific enough specs on it. When I emailed the manufacturer they said, "The Arctic BundleMe is like a snowsuit, while the Urban BundleMe (which we also have) is like a coat." When you use the Arctic BundleMe, you know your child will be warm from the winter elements.
The inside is a soft fleece while the outside is a very thick, durable canvassy-feeling material. There's a vent you can zip open to help regulate air. There's also a little pocket on the bottom front.
This is a great product and I highly recommend it if you live anywhere where it's cold and windy and you need to keep your baby/toddler warm.

I am perplexed by the way that this cover fits over my baby it seems to always leave his shoulders and neck exposed no matter how we position it. It certainly keeps his bottom half toasty, but we can't figure out what to do with his shoulders because if we put a warm sweater on him, he gets too hot from his armpits down! Another thing to keep in mind since it is SO warm, the baby can really only wear light clothes underneath it. This is a problem if you are in the car and want to transport the baby from the car to a store etc WITHOUT taking in the car seat, as you either have to carry the baby IN the Bundle Me (unwieldy option), or take the baby out and wrap him/her in a blanket or put on a snowsuit in the car to protect the baby until you get inside. Great idea, but not as all around useful as I'd hoped.Best Deals for JJ Cole Arctic Bundle Me
We purhased this bundle me for our 12 month old. We live in Burlington where it gets quite cold and windy. The Arctic bundle me works as described and keeps our son warm in very chilly weather despite not needing to wear a winter coat underneath. It is now very easy to transfer him from car seat to stroller without having to remove or out back on his winter coat. We have it attached to a Uppa Baby Vista stroller and it fits like it was custom made for it. It will also work on the G-Lite umbrella stroller if needed. We would highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a warm option to a bulky bunting or winter outfit/coat.Honest reviews on JJ Cole Arctic Bundle Me
At first it was hard to justify spending twice as much on the Arctic Bundle Me as the Urban Bundle Me, but after a long New York City winter I've found it was worth it. I would argue that the Urban Bundle Me is more equivalent to a thin coat that covers half of the kid's torso and lower. This means that for most of the winter you have to put your kid in a coat even when you use the Urban Bundle Me. And it can't do much for constant winds. After wrapping your kid up in a coat, in the Urban Bundle Me, and finally getting them in the stroller, do you really want to have to wrestle on the plastic cover to keep out the winds too? The Arctic Bundle Me, however, is fantastic. With this on the coldest of days my kid is in a fleece, and just hops in. No extra coat needed. My tall three year old loves it as much as I do. She is quick to inform me whenever she feels cold, but it is never while she is in this. If she wishes, only her eyes can show while the rest of her is kept out of the cold and wind. Warm enough to nap. It fits my Phil and Ted stroller perfectly. It also fits the rear seat. It's heavy, but doesn't slide down the seat because of the way it's designed on top. I love that the zippers are stiff because on my Urban Bundle me the zippers now slide down a little by themselves. Or they come down easily if my kid is kicking. The zippers are suppose to be this stiff! If they slide down, all the warmth will escape. With this bunting bag my daughter can squirm around all she wants, and it never compromises her warmth.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for JJ Cole Arctic Bundle Me
I own the JJ Cole Arctic Bundle, Urban Bundle and the Original Bundle. I purchased the Arctic and Urban in toddler size and would highly recommend doing the same for the amount of money you want to get more than one winter out of the product. That being said my daughter is two and I started using these when she was one. For an infant probably you would have to go with the smaller ones. I use these with a Baby Trend Jogger and an Uppa Baby Vista. The Arctic has a better configuration for the Uppa Baby's sunshade that attaches to the top of the stroller. The Urban one is less stiff and works better on the jogger. Both are a good investment if you are going to be out regularly through the fall/winter months in cold climates. Last winter we used a combo of the Urban and a vinyl cover which my daughter was not thrilled about having the vinyl cover on--but was happy to be in the Urban bundle. If using the Arctic and if the wind isn't bad she is comfortable as low as 25 degrees, but will pull the front cover up. I agree with the reviewer who compared the Arctic to a snow suit and the Urban to a coat. The only draw back so far has been the zippers are little tough on the Arctic but I think with time they will loosen up. From time of purchase I have received at least ten compliments on the looks and six others asked where I purchased, it looks as good as it works and it works as good as it looks!
