Reviews of Baby Buddy 2 Pack Secure-A-Toy

Baby Buddy Secure-A-Toy, Pink/Lilac

These are great little straps. They aren't very long, but that is to help prevent strangulation hazards. They're perfect for attaching toys or teething rings to the stroller, car seat handle, etc. The snap is strong enough that a baby can't undo it. Each strap has multiple spots where you can fasten it, so you can make it shorter or longer.

I typically use BooginHead pacifier straps to attach toys, but at nearly $5 each that gets pricey. These Baby Buddy straps are much more economical for the purpose. They are actually made in the USA too, so that makes me feel better when the baby sticks them in her mouth.

Update: My daughter is 3 years old now, and we are still using our original set of these straps to attach her sippy cup, snack cup, etc to the stroller and car seat. Who would have thought that such an inexpensive product would be useful for so long? :)

These are great. Those Velcro or clip straps are only good until they figure out they can rip them right off. My boy is super strong but he can't get these snap straps off. Only wish they were a little longer, but that won't deter me from giving them 5 stars.

The length is perfect for attaching pacifiers (at least the kind with handles, like Avent) I just put the other end through the snap or button hole on his shirts.

I also love that they come two to a package, are inexpensive and come in a variety of colors. I highly recommend them. Wish I had gotten them earlier on instead of wasting money on the other straps that now just sit in a drawer.

These little straps work well for keeping snack cups and sippy cups off the floor. I used these to replace links which my one year old could easily undo. There isn't much to them, just a strap and some snaps, so you could easily make your own. But why bother when these are so cheap?

Honest reviews on Baby Buddy 2 Pack Secure-A-Toy

Does your baby LOVE to play the "drop it on the floor and watch Mommy pick it up for me" game? You're right, it is fun to play but I don't want to play it when we're out shopping and I have to clean the toy every time it gets dropped on the floor. This band really helped keep toys attached. Just don't plan on using it to hold larger or heavier items because the strap won't hold it. Overall, great buy!

My baby is 7 months old and does not yet have teeth. Within a few hours of total use she managed to fray one end of the strap so that the snap could have ended up in her mouth. The snap has jagged edges under the nylon webbing and this could have been very bad if she had swallowed it. We keep a close eye on her but I never would have thought a simple strap like this could be dangerous. I will not be using the other 3 straps (I bought 2 packs)!.

I did not find out what my baby was till I was 6 months along till then all I bought were gender neutral items. That included the car seat a plain old grey car seat. Well when I did find out I was disappointed in the colors but I ran into this when I was buying a baby sling from the same company. I was superised to see how this changed the overall look of my car set. It went from grey and cheap looking to something that looks I spend a ton on. It is easy to install and easy to remove for cleaning! I would buy this for anyone expecting...I have 2 myself now!

I purchased this item specifically for the Car Seat Cover which was a serious disappointment. I foolishly melted our original car seat cover in the dryer, so it is completely unusable. The car seat cover in this kit is just a thin piece of fabric; not even close to being thick enough to protect the baby from the hard plastic on the car seat. Not only that, but it doesn't it is very loose fitting. The car seat umbrella only has one opening for the plastic bar to go through so it isn't as mobile as I would prefer. Yes, the fabric is plush and soft, but it does not perform the function that I purchased it for.

I love this and get compliments all of the time. Its beautiful in person and very fun! I added a clip on flower to the top of the canopy. My only wish is that the head/body pad was another fabric, lots of bright pink all in one place on the inside. Very happy with it and money well spent!

Pretty, soft, easy to wash, etc. Price was good. Not enough available! I want to buy more for friends. Works great for winter keeping out germs and from ppl touching. Summer, keeps sun out. Cool fabric.

I am so glad we picked this as our son's second car seat. He is a tall child and outgrew his infant carrier at about 5 months. I would not put a newborn in it despite the rating we started using it when he was about 12 pounds.

The seat is a little bulky but if you leave the cupholders off it's not bad in a midsize car. My son couldn't reach the cupholders anyway so they weren't much use. My only real complaint besides the fabric being dark (which makes it hotter in the summer) is that it doesn't have as much padding as I would have liked. I bought an egg-crate mattress pad, trimmed it down to size including seatbelt holes, and slipped it under the removable (read: washable!) fabric, and the seat lasted a good 2 years before he outgrew it. We bought a second one for the other car and it held up fine too it's still with us, awaiting our new arrival.

With the extra padding long car rides were no problem; we had to go cross-country twice and he slept and played peacefully. With smaller babies you would need to put in either a rolled-up towel or a headrest to keep them from slumping. All in all unless you want to spend a fortune on a top-of-the-line model this is the best one we found.

As others have noted, this shouldn't even be advertised as a rear facing car seat. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to install this as a rear facing unit without having a very large and unacceptable level of wiggle room. I am amazed they are legally even allowed to sell this as a rear facing unit.

It should also be noted that to install this as a rear facing unit, they ask you to use folded up towels to elevate the seat to the right height, but the towels will settle, compress, and move around over time. So the seat again becomes dangerously loose over the time as the towel changes position. Last time I am buying a Cosco product.

My first baby was fine with the U-shaped cushions cradling all of her head. But those only worked 1-2 weeks for my second, bigger baby. The Summer Infant Cradler let him have all the room from top to bottom he needed.

-Prevents from slouching forward

-Prevents head flopping onto shoulder and causing crick in neck

-Washable (it's gonna get spit up on it, nice to wash it)

-Baby didn't like it at first cuz obviously it's awkward, so I used it on short errands at first to get him used to it, and then baby was totally fine.

My wife and I have four kids and it wasn't until our last one did we feel we needed something like this. Even though she can turn her head in any direction, our infant daughter always preferred to tilt her head to the right. Our doctors said that it's likely that's the way she was in the womb. We were told that the best thing to do is to encourage her to straighten her head (face forward) when possible.

So when she was laying in a crib, car seat, or one of our many other kid things, we placed rolled up towels next to her head. After a few weeks of dealing with loose towels near her head, we decided to find something that would serve the same purpose.

After doing a lot of research, this infant cradler fits the bill perfectly. Our daughter is comfortable and more importantly, her head is straight when using this. The width is adjustable so it will grow with her. Hopefully we won't need to continue to use this after a few months.

I returned this pillow because the middle part where you velcro goes, it's very bumpy and I do not want my baby to be laying her head on the bumpy pillow like that especially in the car seat. It also looks like it will expand but you can't really expand it because then the velcro will be exposed to touch, which means my baby will be laying her head on top of the velcro. I returned it.

Honest reviews on Summer Infant Cradler Head Support

The one problem I had with this product was the velcro was on the wrong side, when it was adjusted the rough velcro faced the baby's head.

This is an awesome product with lots of settings to choose from. It is probably one of the best purchases I have made for my little one besides the tiny love take along mobile.

I don't necessarily use it as it is intended, but it still does the job of entertaining my little guy and fulfills the tracking lights requirement I was looking for. We haven't had the opportunity to use it in the car as of yet since he is still in the hospital at seven months old now, but it still works. I use the strap to affix it to or over the hospital tv, this makes it even easier to set it up no matter which direction he is facing in his bed because of the swivel arm the tv is on. I love that we can set it for up to as long as 60 minutes of music. That way even if a nurse sets it she doesn't have to worry about it going off and needing to be reset every ten to fifteen minutes.

I noticed someone mentioned it is too loud. I thought that was just me being overly sensitive because of his situation. I quickly remedied that with a piece of cloth tape over the speaker.

All in all, it might not be for everyone. But I love that it has different settings and options. In my opinion that gives it more longevity and an opportunity to grow with him. Who knows it may become a staple just like the tiny love take along mobile and help us make the transition from the hospital to home.

I hope this helps someone else who might be in the same sort of situation we are in. I was discouraged at first when I couldnt' find a way to attach it to his crib and not be in the way of the doctors and nurses. I was so determined to use it that it finally occured to me. That has also helped me to look at all of the toys I browse through in a different light. I try to think of other uses or how they can be modified or adjusted to meet our needs.

I originally had the Fisher Price lights mirror, but the music and lights only lasted around 10 minutes and the remote only worked sporadically. That's when I decided to purchase this one. We LOVE it!

The timer can be set for up to 60 minutes, which is perfect for the trips I use it for.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it isn't designed to act as a mirror for the driver. It doesn't have any way to slant it so that you can see baby from the front. My husband was still able to rig it to work =) but it would be better if it had the verticle adjustment like other similiar mirrors.

I got this for my grandson to take in the car but it is so easy to use in so many places and I love that you can set the timefor it to play on 4 different settings!!!

Honest reviews on Baby Einstein Music and Discovery Travel Mirror

My 9 month old daughter loves this mirror! We bought it because we had a long trip coming up and wanted her to have a new car toy to help keep her entertained. This fit the bill pretty well. The timer has 4 settings: 10, 20, 30 and 60 minutes. I don't know why they didn't go ahead and add a 45 one on there but those options work well and are great to have. It does have volume control, loud and soft and then a way to turn it off to conserve battery life. The soft is really too soft to hear well (the speaker lays against the seat when hanging from the headrest for a rear facing baby) so we have kept it on the loud setting which isn't so loud that it is distracting to the driver. It has four modes: learning, music and lights together, music alone and lights alone. The learning and music and lights mode are the ones we use most. The others don't really interest my daughter she likes the lights and music together because the lights follow the tune of the song playing. The learning mode is pretty cool because it does include colors and shapes and adds in Spanish and French words for those as well. It will say the word in English first, then Spanish, then French then play a little song, then do another color or shape so that the child can connect that the word was all the same for one thing. A very smart feature in my opinion.

Why 4 stars then? There are a few tiny hiccups that keeps this from being perfect, two in particular: 1) switching modes is a little challenging because of the way the button moves, it can be hard to get it to the right mode because there isn't much space between each little tic as you move the button this is only an issue if you're in a hurry and don't want it on learning mode (the first tic) but it can be a pain when you don't get it on the right one the first time; 2) you really can't see your baby in the mirror while driving. So if you're buying it for that purpose, it is not likely to work for you and I'd pick another mirror. I chose this for entertaining my daughter and it works like a charm in that respect. Now instead of crying when I put her in the car seat she leans forward to touch the mirror and gets excited about me turning it on. My daughter would give this toy 5 stars, and if that button wasn't an issue, I would too.

All in all, I'm glad I chose this mirror over the Chicco. The learning mode is fun and the music isn't annoying and has good sound quality. Also, it is similar to the Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes music so my daughter recognized the tunes playing. It works really well and batteries were easy to install. It was also easy to install into the car.

This product plays the great Baby Einstein music that we all know. It does get really annoying in the car if you let it play past the 10 minute mark though.

The "button" on the bottom are deceiving though.. i thought they were interactive but they are just lights that flash back and forth for the baby to look at. The mirror has no buttons for the child.. just the on/off button on top for the parent (the sun).

The mirror attached easily to my back headrests in several positions easily and hasnt slipped off yet.

I set the mirror up in several locations and i still can't fully see my sons face in my rear view mirror without leaning forward toward my mirror. Even then i can just barely see his face in the corner of the Baby Einstein mirror. We have the Britax Marathon 70 and the side of the headrests block a great deal of vthe view when i turn around to see him, so this mirror does help with that.

I feel compelled to review this car seat because right now the only review is extremely negative. We have used our Cosco Scenera (ours is gray/black) for almost 2 years now, rear facing the whole time, in our Honda Civic. We use cut lengths of pool noodles and rolled up towels to get a good angle, and it must be in the middle seat because our back seat is pretty small so the top of the car seat has to go between the two front seats. However, if installed correctly with a tight seat belt or with the latch system tightened (we've used both), it fits securely and does not wiggle around. We've had it inspected by the local public safety department (they were impressed we had it installed correctly, as most car seats are not). It may not work for all cars, but it worked for us and we have been very pleased. We have installed it forward facing twice (when we flew to Washington and didn't have the pool noodles with us for the rear-facing set up) and it fit well in a Subaru Outback but only fit in the middle seat of a Nissan Altima because of the built-in head rests of the back seats by the windows.

Is this car seat fancy? No. Is it convenient like an infant carrier? No. But it IS safe when installed correctly, and it has worked well for us.

This rain cover was not a good fit for our Chico KeyFit 30 car seat. Plus, the closure around the handle is really sort of just silly in its design.

Other then that, the cover did its job and kept my son dry even in pretty heavy rains.

Purchased to use on Maxi Cosi Mico since Maxi Cosi doesn't sell their custom cover in Canada. This thing sucks. First off it is not cheap... As such I would expect it to be effective in the least. The velcro attachments made no sense. Wind easily blew it off because the velcro attachments were pathetic and baby was wet from weather on more than a few occasions. The Brica and Jolly Jumper version appear to be more affordable and effective.

This product is very good, it is better then the regular rain plastic. The fact that it only fits over the car seat makes it better, there is extremely less wind that gets under the plastic onto the baby. If you have a carseat wit the snap and go or Graco frame this is an excellent product to purchase.

We do not own this car seat but rented one on our last vacation. Poor quality and difficult to secure/buckle in the car.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The pros: This seat is very light. Much lighter than the car seat I purchased for my first child 5 years ago. I can carry her around for quite some time in it, and the seat adds very little to her weight.

The price is right. I don't believe in paying $400 for a car seat that has the same safety rating as one that costs 1/5 of that price. That's why I've purchased multiple Cosco brand seats.

The cons: You can't adjust the shoulder straps while the seat is in the base. And it's even kind of difficult to adjust the straps with a baby in it. That's because the straps are only adjustable from the rear, and require wiggling them out of little toothed metal pieces that hold them in place. I've purchased several other Cosco models, and they were all adjustable from the front by depressing a rectangular button. You'd press on the button to loosen the straps, and pull on the straps from the front to tighten them. It was the same with other brands of car seat I've owned. This feature is great when you want to change the strap tightness from day to day to accommodate the presence or absence of bulky clothing. After half a dozen car seats between my children, I assumed all car seats were this way. But not this one. It can take several minutes to change the strap tightness, with or without the child in the seat, and it's impossible to do so if the seat is connected to the base. No more last minute strap adjustments for us. If I'd known this beforehand, I'm sure I wouldn't have purchased it. It's that much of a pain.

Also, some reviewers have complained that the seat won't latch to the base. We thought so to, until we read the instructions. There are two red rods that stick out the side of the seat, toward the rear. Those rods are meant to be aligned with notches in the base. We thought those rods were supposed to lock in place, which is why we repeatedly set the rods into the notches, and then were dismayed when we could still lift out the seat without disengaging the lock. Then we read the obvious instructions on the side of the seat. It states quite clearly that the rods are not meant to attach the seat to the base. They merely help guide you into locking the seat properly. The seat locks into the base at the front of the seat, not the rear. If you align the rods to the notches, then press the seat into the base at the front, rather than the rear, it will snap in quite easily.

I adore this seat.

I mean, yes okay, you have to unhook the straps and retread them every time you need to change the height, but really that's minor. The seat is a slim line and allows the seat to sit onto the seat in the car without the overhang and without the added bulk trying to get it in and out of the car. The carseat is no taller then the seat in the car even at max height (Buick LaSabre). My son is 45" and weighs 42 lbs but is only 3 yrs old. This seat not only has the height to keep him in the 5 point longer, but also has room to grow with him up to the 52" mark. The seat is nicely crafted and has a tight cover that keeps him from being able to pull it loose or require an additional cover. The head rest raises and lowers very easily along the back of the seat which allows the child's head to always be supported regardless of how tall their head reaches.

I bought this seat at my local walmart and it was cheaper then amazon. They also had more then just the grey color to choose from (pink and green also). However, this seat is a wonderful investment for both the safety and the comfort of my children. I travel a great deal with my kids, and their comfort is important. There is enough padding that they don't complain and they're high enough they can see out the windows.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I bought this carseat because my daughter was outgrowing her infant model and I wanted something that was rear-facing but also could hold her until she was ready for a booster. I didn't like some of the $50-60 seats because they didn't often go beyond 40 pounds and some of the cushioning seemed thin, especially around the child's bottom. The more expensive seats, in addition to their cost, can be bulky and hard to fit in a sedan; this is especially true when they are installed rear-facing.

This seat is, in my view, the best of both worlds. It's modestly priced (although, as others have noted, it's currently significantly cheaper from Walmart as it is from Amazon), sturdily built, and has more cushioning in the important places than other value-priced seats. Installation is never fun for any carseat, but once I figured out what I was doing, it was no problem, and it fit without problem in my compact older-model Corolla. The manual does make a few small but critically important suggestions on how to install the seat rear-facing that make it relatively straightforward. Making adjustments to the seat often requires removing it from the car, but I found this to be true with most models I saw.

One other note: I have seen on a few sites an Eddie Bauer seat that runs for a lot more than this seat. I've inspected the Eddie Bauer in person and it is nothing more than a rebranded Guide 65 -they are identical in every way, down to the parts design and safety labels.

Best Deals for Safety 1st Guide 65 Infant Car Seat, Seaport

I read so many reviews on this site and on others that said this seat did not come with all of the extra support cushions or a cup holder. There is a Sport version of this seat and that one is not supposed to come with the extras, thats why its cheaper. This exact product does come with everything shown in the picture plus a detachable cup holder, which is all listed in the product description. Okay, now that I have covered what you get let me just say that I love this seat! It is a great size, was easy to install and fits my 6 month old perfectly now and will adapt perfectly for him as he grows. So glad I went with this seat and not a more expensive one! BTW I got mine from Overstock for the same price, but they had free shipping.

Honest reviews on Safety 1st Guide 65 Infant Car Seat, Seaport

For the product alone, this was a great choice for us. It will work for our son for quite a while as the forward facing will be great when he is ready for it. My only beef was with the seller. They were AWFUL, but this car seat is great. Eddie Bauer makes one just like it that our friends found on sale at Target, but when we compared the 2, they are almost identical. It is like EB slapped their name onto the cushions that are on the Safety 1st model. The Safety 1st one has an extra slot in the crotch to expand to that their EB one did not, but they all install the same. Oh, about the installation... Prior to purchasing this seat, we read several reviews that said it was too difficult to install. I can only guess that those people were not very good with instructions as I installed by myself in both a newer car that had the LATCH system and an older Grand Cherokee that used the seat belt way. Neither took more than 20min to install, and I am not the most mechanically inclined.

We have 2 of these after initially buying one Graco and one of these. The Graco had a buckle that our daughter could easily unclasp with one hand and it was huge. We ordered a second one of these instead and the size is a much better fit. No attached cup holder, just a cheap one that doesn't stay in place very well. I like that this one is wider and doesn't block my view when driving. The only issue we have had is that it does tend to move a bit on the incline if you don't have it tightly propped in place. It drives my husband crazy, but I like being able to recline it a bit more when my daughter is tired. There is a range of safe incline and as long as you go by that guide on the side, it isn't a big deal. It does suggest propping something like a pool noodle under it to keep it still. I am happy with both of the ones that we have.
